Alliance locked bounty quest

I’m married, have a full time career and 2 kids. I don’t have an alliance because I don’t have the free time in the day to join aq, aw and all the other silly alliance base activities you have to do now days. I run solo and used to enjoy the monthly event quests, side quests and all the other fun gameplay I can do solo. Yes it sucks that people in an alliance get double the rewards as me but unfortunately due to my busy life it is what it is. At least I still get rewards and can still progress my account (slowly) through the solo activities right? Well unfortunately Kabam seem to forget there is a lot of us that play solo and don’t have time to join an alliance due to life commitments. I loved the bounty event last time round but now it’s literally impossible for me to complete it, as I said I don’t have time to join an alliance, so the nice side quests that used to help me does nothing for me now, the event quest is still locked on progression base, it still sucks unbelievably bad, the entire community was in uproar and Kabam have still kept the same format they just changed the difficulty a little, it’s ridiculous it’s like they want us to quit, they are so deluded in what they are doing they don’t even see it!!! So now as a solo player I can get a grand total of f*** all because it’s either complete garbage that no ones wants or it’s locked to an alliance. I spend I log on daily, what is my incentive as a solo player to even bother doing anything anymore? I’ve done act 9 100% as again the story is great if you’re solo but I have no story left and now I have no content at all. It’s a real shame I’ve been a loyal player for 10 years and this is the worse state I’ve ever seen the game in and Kabam to simply put it, just don’t care about any of us!!!

Yeah dude, I was actually surprised to find this was the case this month (I just asked a question similar to your lament). I'm in a retired alliance that barely plays these modes, so I guess unless I pay $60 ish bucks, I can't participate. For sure hard to see but, whatever. It was a sad couple weeks but I've recalibrated my feelings towards the game and my expectations and honestly eh. Treat the game as something to enjoy when you can and move on when you can't. It took a couple weeks but my trance has been broken.

Even better in that no warning is given about these things. Had no idea had to find an alliance before instantly being locked out of this stuff. Get that you get more rewards from doing AQ and war but being locked out of events over it is not really fair at all. Some like banquet are expected but side quests..

A lot of people are married, have kids and full time jobs. If your using that as an excuse to not have time to join an alliance then thats on you. I have all of that and still manage to be in an active alliance.

AQ and AW fights take no more than 5-10 minutes to do and it's not like this happens every month.

Take this month off and do something else. Yeah it sucks to not get rewards but you have to put in the work if you want rewards.

I agree, encouraging people to do Alliance specific tasks by some additional milestones might be better compared to forcing people to do it for usual monthlyrewards.

In my view, anything that's usual every month, should be available for people to do without any restrictions like those Kabam added in current month. They can add extra rewards for people who want to do more and do alliance specific tasks.

SoSometimes I feel, Kabam is making more and more mistakes now which is resulting in people leaving the game. I am talking about veterans who were with my Alliance for years, they just said it's too much. Last month after introducing the new eq structure 3 people left.. This is certainly not good for our alliance and I assume for Kabam too

@Chilling421 It's not about how long or challenging those fights are, it's about managing one's time as per their availability and playing game in their free time. I am part of the alliance and many times find it hard to keep up.. I do understand the point raised by @AC20 . And totally agree!!

I am fortunate to have an understanding and supporting alliance but not all alliances are the same and many of them are really hectic and ambitious.. people sometimes can't be available to play alliance content and that should be fine. Thay should not be punished for not playing in an alliance.

Some of us figured out a long time ago that if you run the alliance, you can populate it with summoners much more active than you, so these kinds of things don't impact your preferred game play time. While it's annoying to be sure, the alliance I run will hit 1k a little after 24 hours of the new release, doing just 2 AQ maps (map 4 at that) and a few folks doing battlegrounds. Of course, when compared to not having to rely on the work ethic of strangers, I can see why this is so off-putting to many.

Is It Kabam fault if people don't have time or just don't want to be part of an alliance?

If you want the rewards you need to put in the effort.

yes it is Kabam’s fault… they have the data, so they know the number of players that don’t have an alliance, or are in an alliance with less than 30 people, or alliances that exist and don’t participate in alliance modes… and still made it mandatory to play the alliance modes to get access to solo content. If this is one of their experiments, looks like that it’s a failed one

MQ and SQ used to be solo, now you basically have to be in an alliance. Add the dumb blackout period, and a lot of players will miss rewards.

I feel ya. There's 1 person left in my Alliance, and they don't like doing AQ or War either. We could do Incursions, but meh. And BG, forget it. Last time I went in, I kept getting matched with someone way above me, or way below me. With them forfeiting immediately, which didn't seem to give event points. 0 interest in either EQ or SQ this month.

Everyone else I knew in real life who played this game quit, and unless they fix things by Banquet, I might join them.

You can start your own alliance and you'll get some of the alliance rewards.

Make it casual, others will join and you'll get more rewards without being pressured to do more than you're willing / able to.

I'm in a similar boat, and used to be a part of a very active alliance, but had to slow things down to accommodate various adjustments in life. I do wish that the access to the event (not necessarily the rewards) was a bit more accommodating, but I look at it like this is an opportunity to work on other content like story mode and battle grounds (which typically get neglected due to efforts in the side quests)

as usual, it’s largely a communication issue. Whether or not it’s fair to require ally activity to earn what use to be solo rewards, the whole situation would’ve been much improved if Kabam sent IG messages early and often. Say on August 15th, Sept 1 and Sept 15, “October is alliance month, get in one now or switch a different one so you can participate…”

Simple and fun, they don't seem to understand how to deliver that anymore. Its a side event, but want to force aspects of the game that people do not want to play. Its like they think we haven't tried it before so forcing us will win us over. We tried it, it sucked, stop forcing it on us.

One other thing to consider is that it is highly probably that the preference is that as many players as possible be in active alliances. It is a lot harder for someone to walk away from the game completely when alliance mates are encouraging their teammates to stay. Also, the idea that an alliance is relying on you to get things done could potentially increase the amount of playing time of the average summoner.

I see something like this designed to promote alliances for reasons such as those.

Looks like kabam heard our feedback and changed the way to unlock elite bounty mission. Players need to win 30 matches with saga champs to unlock the elite. Now, atleast players are not dependent on alliance contribution to unlock elite bounty. Thank you for the changes kabam!
