Hunger Realm event milestones

I contributed to the event and haven't gotten the option to claim any of the milestones, is that normal?

it’s peak milestones, meaning we only get the highest milestone we complete, and not until the very end of the event, it’s not all the milestones, this event is so much worse than it originally appeared.

I did not get email for selecting between cure and hunger. But I have been default under hunger and objectives also showing the same

To switch side form hunger to cure, you need someone to send you a cure.

Curious why they went the peak milestone instead of being individual milestones we earn as a community.
