Solvarch
Hello Kabam team,
I’d like to share my impressions after obtaining Solvarch. He is already the third Eidol in the game, but unfortunately, he feels like the weakest one of them all.
⚙ Main Issues
Complete dependence on the opponent’s energy damage.
Solvarch is only effective against Mutants who deal energy damage. If the opponent doesn’t, the champion becomes practically useless.
Weak damage even against Mutants.
Even the old Captain America (Classic) deals more damage. For a champion of this supposed caliber, that feels like a clear balance issue.
Illogical and exhausting mechanics.
To ramp Solvarch up, you have to go through a list of steps — switching modes, charging, spending, timing — it feels like being in a chemistry class: too many reactions for minimal results. After all that effort, the damage still disappoints, and the process itself is frustrating and clunky.
Mismatch between class and role.
As a Tech champion, he should confidently counter Mutants, yet he loses even to weak Tech champions. His “Eidol” status doesn’t feel justified in either power or gameplay.
💸 Why This Causes Frustration
Many players spent real money and resources expecting a strong champion. Instead, we got one that feels unfinished and not worth the investment.
🛠 What Should Be Reworked
Increase the damage and impact of Release Mode.
Add bonuses against all Mutants, not just those who deal energy damage.
Simplify the mechanics and make his ramp-up more intuitive and rewarding.
💬 What Other Players Are Saying
His actual damage is much lower than shown in the Deep Dive.
The AI often breaks his charge mechanic, preventing proper buildup.
Release Mode gives almost no payoff, even when fully charged.
The mechanics look “fancy but useless” — too complicated for such a weak outcome.
