New relics today

So yet again Karen was deceptive instead of being honest… they said the new batch of stat cast relics would be in the same crystals as the last with a smile on their face, but then in the in game mail that was just sent out they are going in separate crystals… oh but don’t worry eventually they will be added to the reg statcast crystals

What difference does it make, the shard currency looks like it's shared between both waves, so you just get to choose which wave you want to target. What's the issue? Or did you just want to complain?

when I watched the stream nothing was mentioned about an exclusive release from what I remember. I just remember the smile on mikes face when he said they would be the same shards.

They are the same shards, what are you talking about. It's literally a pro player thing, to be able to target a smaller pool of champs with the same currency. By all means give them **** about stuff that deserves it but they have literally made a pro player choice to let you use the same shards to target a narrower pool.

A unrelated question. If you did all of the tummy objectives until today, how many points you should have on statcast relic event. I have 12 is it crt or Am i missing any?

They are the same shards… As pointed out in the thread, it was very explicitly stated that they would launch in an exclusive pool.

Ok but like what is your issue with this? Why are you upset that we get options to choose which pool of relics we want to use our shards on? Isn't it basically like complaining if we got to choose the class of champs we want to use our 7* basic champ shards on?

They're just different stat cast champs with different stat focuses. So same type of relics just different variations from the first wave.

They're pretty much just strikers with a stat boost.

Sort of. We started to need more strikers because the game has increasingly demanded them as time has gone on and switching them around is a royal pain. There just weren't enough to go around for our expanding rosters. Having more is certainly welcome, but it's more solving a pain point of embracing a necessary evil.

@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex can you guys not just scrap the old relics? The battle cast ones were obviously a bust, over complicated and not valuable enough and you clearly arent going to do anything with them so can we just setup a trade in store?

Rank down tickets for them all and then trade in battle cast relics for statcast relic crystals?

I really love statcast relics though. It is not completely useless like some suggest.

This is actually a good roll out now that I see what they did, you can pay to get only the new ones in a pool or open you normal shards and still have a chance at them.

People have literally invested in specific champs because of their synergies with specific battlecast relics, like Ham with the Ant-Man relic or Venom with the Venom relic.

Can you imagine the s-storm from the "community" if Kabam touched their battlecast relics, even with trade-ins?

Having Statcasts means Kabam can release more relics, more frequently, and champions who don’t have synergy with battlecasts have another option for striker nodes.

It’s entirely plausible that more battlecasts will come out in the future, but having other relics means there’s less pressure to have steady releases which results in balance issues and pigeonholed battlecasts.

They didnt want strikers that acted like gear. What does gear do, increase stats, that is what these are doing.

They wanted more strikers when they had collected all of them over 6 months ago and started saving for new ones. Which you put on hold until you could find a new way to monetize them and came up with gear like strikers.

I really like Doom for any Mystics that specialize in Energy Damage, and Karnak for Skill Champs with guaranteed Crits.

Heimdall also seems great for some more block proficiency on Cull.

Yea, Battlecast are more tuned up. I wish we can have a few more. I also we can have a good energy damage statcast for Skill champs as I use Silver Sable a lot. The Winter Soldier ain't cutting it since it's too 'incinerate debuff' focused.
