Special daily quest gone after accepting cure

after accepting the cure the special daily quest has just disappeared, the tab is there but it says i have to wait until tomorrow for the next objective. I hadn't made any progress on today's quest prior to accepting the cure either so i guess im just gonna miss out on the final tier of the event.

Why would you miss out on anything? You just have to wait one day to get an objective for your new team.

@Furrymoosen are you forgetting that you need to complete those objectives for the appetite contests event? because being that i am unable complete the special daily quest i am therefore unable to earn todays points for the event and am thus missing out on potential rewards that those points would have awarded me.
