Elder difficulty is not worth the effort
Ok, first I should say that I am a mid-tier Valiant (4 R4s, 25 R3s etc.) so people with more developed rosters are probably having different experience. I also moderately skilled and usually dont go beyond Gamma in BG. But for people like me the Elder difficulty in EQ is simply waste of time and resources. I finished the Classic difficulty last month with zero effort (and this month it will be even easier) but found Elder unnecessary hard. I think its even more demanding to your roster than Act 8 Crucible (where do I suppose to find 16 ranked up Mystics with Regeneration to get Fury bonus, for example?) and somewhat even harder (because you dont get your health restored after each fight so it basically a health potions drain). I finished the previous Elder difficulty in the end but it took like 6 hours, 50 revives, all my stash of health potions and like 150 Valiant green crystals on top of that. And after I checked the rewards I got compared to doing the potential cake walk exploration of Classic difficulty (I am at 23k prestige and Tier 6 of EQ rewards).
The difference (and all the efforts for) turned out to be:
10% of T7 catalyst,
600 7 star AG shards
7500 Titan shards
7000 7 star shards
10k T4a shards
Some new relic shards I really almost dont care about and other minor stuff currently available in other game modes.
Those are nice rewards but definitely not worth the investments enough to clear some high-end game content like The Ordeal, Crucible or exploring Act 9.3.
So this month I am skipping the Elder difficulty and will be just exploring the Classic one. The mode itself is nice but to get my interest in doing it, the rewards should be like 3 times larger or the difficulty should be lowered even more (at least full health restoration after each fight). Thats just my opinion and more of "constructive criticism" than ranting.
