Persistent charge champions

Why is Kabam abandoning persistent charge champions?
Champions like this haven't been created for a while, and game content like Elder EQ takes away charge farming. I really enjoyed playing characters like Corvus with his 4 charges.

If you don’t care about losing a whopping 6k T7B fragments a month (give or take)… save yourself the headache and have fun with those champs exploring classic.

That’s what I am doing. Far more laid back,build synergy teams, or ramp champs…. And miss out on very little

I picked up my alt account after leaving it in the dust for a few years just to pick up the compensation, and then have been playing it alongside my main account for the last few weeks. One thing that really stuck out to me when doing the EQ was how much more fun I had on my alt account than my regular one. My alt account is just Cavalier so I could take a whole questing team and push through Elder difficulty instead of having to switch champion between each fight. While I don't think the intention from Kabam is for Cull to absolutely bulldoze each chapter on his own, it was still a fun time and I really enjoyed building him up throughout the quest. Likewise, I've been having a lot of fun with him in Story mode.

I think the reason that we're not seeing a lot of champions that you can build up over time is simply that there isn't really content where that kind of utility can be utilized. As absolutely broken as Cull is when he has a full 10 charges, I don't really have a use for him on my regular account outside of Battlegrounds and occasionally AQ. But beyond that - especially with the recent EQ changes - it's essentially just the twice-a-year Story content that offer any avenue to actually utilize him to his fullest. So unless Kabam starts providing more content where that kind of build-up is useful, there really isn't a point to release such champions anyway.

Hopefully we see some kind of return to it. While I absolutely think that the EQ format needed to be shook up after being stale for half a decade or so, it's a bit of a shame that Kabam removed the only remaining consistent questing from the game.
