Lumatrix RAIDS Boss issue with Vanguard

I dont think KABAM thought ahead for this one. Vanguards that use the Punish heavies and specials boost cannot get any charges in the fight as, well, you cant punish.
Anybody else in the same boat cause this is just stupid and not though of well at all!

@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex please can you look into this cause any vanguard using the weak spot raid hack cant do anything against him to get the vigilance buff needed up to counter his invisibility

@Lord_Apex666 they just random place a raid endboss without doing any investigation about the hacks certain champs use.. they’re just noobs at the office my friend not the first time this happen

I'm vanguard and using weakspot. Sruck at gentle right now but, ****, now I'm really not looking forward to Lumatrix. I wasn't looking forward to it before either, but now even less excited. Please fix this soon.

yea. My Shang chi crit crusher is in the same boat… punish heavies and specials. Way to go kabamm. Consistently disappointing

Once raids info was available I saw that immediately. Vanguard champions just do not have any built-in miss counter. Other roles have at least one (Jean / Serpent).

As my role always was Vanguard, but at the same time I was earning the most points and was defeating most annoying defenders on the map, I made a deal with Assault player and I took Jean.
That way we handled issue in our small group of 3 for me not having good champion to fight, but having ability to do that.

As for Lumatrix and Vanguards, the only thing you can do is to build some charges for other roles. Slowly but surely. I hope your battlegroup has some built-in miss counters, so they will be able to destroy this perfectly balanced 3 out of 5 easy defender.

IMO Vanguard now is the weakest role.
Also, Kabam kept Gentle on the map which is ridiculous. He shuts down half of the role boosts because they have crit rate. They reduced time for his anti-crit phase, but it is a **** as this ability does not have a cooldown.
Best role boosts, if you would like not to struggle on Gentle, is to choose role boost without crit rate.

Yes, but what they are saying is to get your role boost active to get the vigilance you need to punish heavies and specials, which you cannot do to lumatrix. So you can't get the vigilance unless you already have it, which to my knowledge no vanguard has.

Now what I do not know is if using a special to interrupt a heavy counts as a punish. If so that may be the only way to get it going with weak spot. Since specials turn off his miss.

Do the Raids missions Thanos Sayeth (dodge, light, knockdown). These give you vigilance and any champ can get it. Once you have it, you can do the punish heavy/specials for your role boost.

I agree with pretty much all of this, save 1 point. Vanguard has Cheeilth, so there is a miss counter, albeit one that requires you to throw an sp2 to get it.

I saw that coming with luma having evade on his heavy, so I picked Anti Venom for vanguard with weak spots boost. My game plan is to stack decelerates (reduces evade and unstoppable AA) on him before baiting heavies and completing role missions. I'm hoping this works.

(I know slow doesn't work on class disadvantage, but decelerates should still work iirc)

It was between him and zemo for my vanguard pick. Zemo places a permanent 50% slow passive when an opponent is rooted (up to 2) + can't miss during root. He should also work. I went with anti venom cuz his dmg is simply too good to pass up here.

One thing I wanted to find out though was if zemo's bleed immune fury scales with raid dmg. If it does, he'd shred viv and maybe even gentle. There's no way to test this on the solo raid map so I'm hoping someone who used zemo can enlighten me here...

When people mention that,they forget you need to first get the effects of the boost to get points after a prompt?

If you can't get the weaknesses you won't get points doesn't matter how many prompts you finish

Definitely going to have to be a tomorrow thing… but I'm looking to remove the Evade from his kit in Raids, that way you can punish his Heavies on your way up to getting the Vigilance, so you can punish his Specials.

this was clearly intentional so I don’t understand what your gonna do about it karate mike? This is why you guys shouldn’t be in the business of making raids super combative. Y’all knew lumatrix is a problem and still put him in raids clearly to punish the players and now it’s backfired. Raids should be fun and simple not overly complicated with BS interactions. also what’s with the crush and unstoppable?

So he’s unblockable and unstoppable when dashing in,..and we have no way to counter it..we just have the gtfo of the way…

the dude gets crush (unblockable ) unstoppable, miss and evade.

Even with my alliance mate using cyclops it’s just horrid. He can counter miss and evade…the tactic does nothing to help.

and we start doing some damage, and then lumatrix Gets crush and unstoppable and kills us all.

So we’ve got the best lumatrix counter available, and he still can’t do anything as he dies before he can build dmg up…

maybe next time can kabam please ask for some player suggestions for bosses an nodes…or at least the ccp?

Because whoever has been designing raid bosses and nodes etc for the last goodness knows how long has been failing over and over.

also there’s so weird bug going on.

when we hit lumatrix with cyclops and he has his precision up, he’s supposed to counter miss and evade.

But the miss keeps working (ie cyclops misses ) and we keep getting smashed . Ift seems to work for the evade,

so not even cyclops can counter his miss apparently?

have you just turned off miss counter unless the raid node miss counter is active?
