Niko v/s Kushala

Hello all, I have been reading, watching about both Niko and Kushala. I have got both of them and played many matches with them. A general perspective of the community seems to be that Niko is game breaking and may be best of mystics..

I feel Kushala can play against almost any one as long as they are not buff immune. On the other hand Niko is OP when playing against cosmics. However, when it comes to other classes and champions (which there are many) Niko doesn't seem to do well in my comparison. Kushala can work around incinerate immunity by using sp2 with buffs. Niko can't do the same for poison immunity as it seems the acid burn does not apply to non cosmics.

I wanted to know other community members' thoughts on the same. Overall, my understanding is...

If you want a cosmic destroyer and a good BG defender rank Niko.

If you want a very good and versatile attacker who is a mediocre defender, go for Kushala.

What do you all think.

PS. I may not have considered some/many aspects here and hence this discussion thread. Please comment so I can learn those aspects..

Minoru have a greater damage than Kushala, but people are scared for her nerf

But as you said Kushala can beat more Champions

kushala is faster attacker, nico is slightly slower but safer. But Nico can be a very annoying defender.

Nico can bypass poison with her incen pre fight, for one match per quest (or in bgs)kushala gameplay want you to take risks to maintain spell, or depend on rng. Nico is consistent.

Kush is sig 180 r4

Nico is duel champ attacker and defense. Kush is pure attack.

I have both of them at r3. Niko duped sig 60 and Kushala unduped. Which one should I rank? I am still undecided.

Kush has zero defensive ability, literally none so that is not a consideration.

For long form content it’s Kush, for most all other fights I want Nico. She hard counters all the truly difficult cosmics.

Nico isn't on kushalas level damage wise but she has a alot more control of the fight.

I'll definitely pick kushala over nico in non cosmic/buff matchups

Kushala is more versatile by FAR. Nico clearly suffers when champs don’t naturally have a lot of buffs while Kushala gives them buffs to take advantage of. She also has a much higher damage output as well. Nico has defense going for her but that’s about it really , she’s more of a ‘safe’ option against cosmics while Kushala is the more aggressive type. I’d go for Kushala personally

Kush is the best mystic attacker, while Nico is the best overall mystic champ.

Although one knock against Kush as an attacker is that she can't take Dark Phoenix.

If Nico is duped, I would rank her up over Kush.
