Deathless Pieces

I vaguely remember Kabam saying that once the people who were able to obtain all the deathless pieces and get Thanos had a chance to “play around” with their new trophy, after a bit of time had passed they would make the pieces widely available to the rest of the community.

I’m aware that the radiance store has 5 pieces for purchase and wheel of fate completion has another, but I’ll still be 2 short even after doing those (and I’m not too keen to fork out 10k units).

I was wondering when Kabam would be making it more accessible for the wider player base. I am assuming it would be around a year from when Deathless Thanos was first available, however I just want to confirm my theory.

They never said anything about making them widely available, only that they would be increasingly available (outside of spending units). I imagine they will do more soon-ish, but they don't seem to be in any rush.

If it helps in your decision making, I spent 10k units on the last two pieces I need after radiance. Having Deathless Thanos, plus the rewards from the additional challenges you can then do, is worth the investment.

Although I know the answers to this, it makes me sad every time I see a post about this. I left the game for 3 years, and that just happened to mean I missed the entire Deathless set of champs. It really sucks, and in my opinion, is a really horrible decision on Kabam's part to have these champs be unobtainable (outside a beyond ridiculous unit spend) for people who are either in my shoes and took some time off or are totally new to the game.

It isn't like these are purely trophy champions. There are no challenges (that I have ever seen) that require trophy champs, but there are for these champs meaning there is actually content that I am blocked from because I do not have them.

I would not call what they are doing rewarding, but if it were, it is only rewarding players who were active at that time. It does not take a lot of dedication, activity, or "endgame" to login and get a deathless token in the mail.

Not sure any company that says "screw you new players you can not do the thing here is content that you are locked out of" is a great model if a company wants to attract players.

Also a model of "come back to our game, but since you were gone you forever can not get something or do content" is a good model either.

If Kabam gave everyone 3* versions of all trophy champs, would these kind of posts persist??

I am not asking for anything to be given. I am asking for the opportunity to earn the champs through similar means as to when they first came out

I strongly suspect it’s going to be awhile before a full fledge event happens. I would expect to see random areas in the game where you could choose a selector for a piece over something like maybe a Titan Crystal but as far a full-fledged event, it’s hard to think they’re ready to let go of that 15k unit price. I’ve seen tons of post with people saving and buying so, I think they still have customers for it (that’s actually what they mean).

Hope they do though soon, they’re my favorite champs in the game!
