I’ve been reflecting on whether to keep playing. I’m not a competitive player, but I’ve built a solid roster (nine R4s and resources to take three more up). I don’t rank meta defenders because that isn’t fun for me, and I hesitate to rank champions I won’t actually use.
I don’t want to complain—I want to offer a solution from a casual player’s perspective.
What’s missing
A truly fun, low-stress game mode where we can bring the champions we enjoy—not just meta picks—and play through reasonable difficulty without layered nodes or strict class and tag restrictions.
Current friction
Class and tag restrictions have spread across many modes (EQ Elder difficulty, WoF, Epoch of Pain, parts of side quests). They were interesting at first, but now they feel limiting.
Elder difficulty often leans on stupid nodes and large health pools, leading to fewer viable champs, longer fights, and more revives.
I want to take the champs I like into quests (for example Serpent, Mister Sinister, Shatra), use them for more than one fight, experiment with synergies, and also try champions I’ve never played—without being punished for not following the meta.
Proposal:
Bring anyone: no class or tag gates. Build the team you love.
Minimal node load: one clear, readable mechanic per fight and reasonable health pools.
Opt-in challenge: optional modifiers that increase difficulty and rewards while keeping the base path fair.
Practice toggle: energy-free, no-rewards practice runs to learn matchups without revives.
Gentle scaling: weekly rotation with modest difficulty increases and no sudden brick walls.
Time-respecting rewards: solid but not game-breaking, so it feels worth the time without forcing meta choices.
EQ and Elder suggestions:
Keep at least one restriction-free main path per quest; move class and tag gates to side lanes with bonus rewards.
Replace layered node stacks with a single clear mechanic per fight.
Reduce revive pressure by tuning boss HP and avoiding brittle counters.
I want to keep playing the game I enjoy: taking my favorite or broken and fun champs, experimenting with synergies, and discovering new kits—without feeling like half my roster is locked out. A low-stress mode and lighter EQ restrictions would give casual players a reliable home while still leaving room for high-end challenge elsewhere.
I woud love to here your poins of view.
