Congratz Kabam, ruining the Monthly Event Quest has driven my Brother to Quit the Game.

After 9 years daily grinding and playing, he finds so little joy out of the Fun-sucking retooling of Monthly Quests that he's done with MCOC.
And I'll see if the Game improves over Banquet Season to determine if My Time here is coming to an end!

I finished all levels of monthly story quest for the last 7-8 years until the recent change. This was the first month in forever that I didn’t bother. With the changes made , it’s just not fun. I hate that it’s class based, hate that’s it not forgiving , hate that you can’t use a champ more than once. No synergies , no forgiveness if you mess up (you have to revive).

I understand that it needed to be changed & monthly EQ needed to be shortened , but the current design has turned me away from the game.

It’s been great because it’s helped break the MCoC addiction and I play sooo much less.

Same here. I just do 4 daily quests, some battlegrounds and AQ and AW. Not as much as before.
I hope they let us change the difficulty soon - they mentioned it would happen.

I do miss the old EQ.

Exactly the opposite for me. Some challenging content has made me much more active.

It doesn’t take very long to complete, rewards are fair for resources used. Big fan.

Hi bro, if you play daily, you can get tons of healing & revives, why don't you use all of them? and boosts?

Yeah, I'm kinda agree that monthly quest is quite long & tough, but you can do Classic alone if Elder is too hard

We were told two months ago "we heard you and are working to allow you to select difficulties again." Still unable to two months later. Kabam does a god job of giving lip service, but a piss poor job of addressing the actual customer concerns, as usual.

They literally have to rebuild EQ to be able to do that. Right now it is tied to progression, so they have to untie and put it back together, and then hope that everything works. Sure, many would like it to be instantaneous, but at some point people have to be realistic and realize it isn't just clicking a couple buttons. They have to undo everything they just did and redo it a different way, making sure all the dots connect along the way.

And before a conversation around them just going back to the old way as the solution, that's really not a solution.

Same. Everyone I know who used to play has quit, except 1 person I had to beg to come back to do Banquet. They refuse to even try the new EQ, and are quitting again after. I don't blame them. I slogged through 1 path last month after we were told it was "significantly" tuned down, and didn't feel like doing any more. Got bumped up to Paragon inadvertently, despite barely being a Cavalier, so now it's even worse. I thought they said they'd add a new lower level for those that want it, but here we still are.

Good for those of you who like the challenge, I'm a casual player who liked to test new champs and read the stories. If I can't do that, 0 desire to go beyond Act 6, the repetitive dailies are boring, BG still sucks, no one left to do Alliance with, single player Incursions aren't worth it, I barely do the minimum grind for Arenas most of the time, a lot of the SQs have been meh to terrible lately, AI is still buggy, and still getting tons of lag and crashes. So way to ruin the 1 thing I still liked. 🙄 Only proves they aren't listening to us like they claim.

I'm burning through the units I've barely wanted to spend otherwise, but after years of playing, at this point I'm not having fun anymore…

Its not that bad, you can choose to just explore classic and you would be in the same spot as before with slightly better rewards. Elder meh, i am just annoyed I gotta do classic to unlock Elder

By before, you probably mean the last few months. We're clearly talking about before that, when there were lower levels to casually read the story and play with new champs, regardless of rewards. Good for you if you don't find Classic a slog, a lot of us do. Not everyone plays like you do, so they could have added an Elder for you and left an even easier one for us. This is still not that.

We've been told 1 is coming, but they also said this would have a significant tune down, which only makes me think they don't know what the term "significant" means.

You are playing an adjusted difficulty suitable to your roster for decent rewards that are suitable to your roster. Use revives learn the fights

Too much restrictions on champions use for EQ Elder

You need 15 champions of each class for Elder, that's 90 champions that most players wouldn't have, I have and I done last month's Elder but it's isn't fun to dip into 7* rank 1 and 6*

Seems like you weren't playing since the beginning if everything you enjoyed doing was doing an easy difficulty level and farming lower rewards....

I much rather have this attitude than complaining about not having my way and deciding not to do it for that reason....

I wonder if Kabam have stats that can show them how many people currently are/aren’t playing the new EQ. It should be interesting - and maybe alarming. I’m not playing it.

I thought Kabam would give an update in the latest livestream - seeing as they addressed it quite a lot in the previous one. Nothing at all! They should give an update on when the more casual players can start playing the game again.

Well after 10 years we must be at that specific point where most of the "normal" people stopped spending money on this game for various reasons. The game is meant to make as much money as possible before it finally dies. That might not be in the next month or even 1-2 years but the signs are everywhere.

The EQ Situation is my personal point of no return where i realized that Kabam is more than ever out of touch with it's playerbase. They don't really care if casual players don't enjoy slog content and stick to it while telling us that it takes month to implent a function where you can freely switch between difficulties. I said it multiple times by now but 15 fights in a row is just not fun, it is not about the difficulty or items you have to spent. Most of these fights are basic defenders and there are enough possibilites to get more revives. It is about giving back enjoyable / fun content to the players and i am very sorry Kabam but you really missed the mark. Reduce fights, add more or other nodes where all champions benefit from and not just half of each class because they are outdated like hell and won't fit to todays champion designs. Is it really so difficult? I know, i know…

I never said I'd been playing since the very beginning. 🤨 I started a few years in, 2018 I think. Some friends got me into it because I was also a fan of the MCU. None of them play anymore btw. I liked the stories, I liked casually playing with and against new champs, and don't really care about the rewards. I feel like I've made that all pretty clear, so I have no idea what you think you're arguing against.

Not everyone plays like you do. The changes make the 1 part of the game I still liked less fun to me. Clearly I am not alone in feeling this way. This isn't that difficult…

The game itself must not be designed for casual players but monthly event quest should be. You understand the difference between endgame content and a monthly quest which should be helpful to develop your own roster?

The monthly EQ isn't endgame content, some of you have a skill issue and it's time to just suck it up. Instead of complaining, try to improve so you can enjoy the mode and get those rewards, they're insane for the amount of effort required which isn't even close to the effort required for actual endgame content like WoF, Ordeal or Epoch.

If you guys wanna leave the game then leave, you are apart of a minority and these changes are in general healthy for the game on the long run, can't please everyone. Very few people actually played old EQ for fun, it was terrible and the rewards even worse, the units were the only good thing.

It looks like you can't read. Where did i said that monthly eq is endgame content? I said the opposite and pointed out that there is a difference between endgame content and monthly eventquest. And just to make you feel better: i cleared like every endgame content so far (except WoF because it is just no fun at all), go through Elder with no to few revives and ranked my 8th R4 without spending any money. So instead of talking about skill issues you should think about your own reading issues.

Oh man… if you want to read it that way it is not my problem. Stick to your beliefs that anybody who complains about this or that has a skill issue. But as long as there is freedom of speech you have to accept that people will complain about things they find to be wrong. Furthermore i never complained about the difficulty as you should have noticed that i wrote about basic defenders and more than enough ressources to get through those missions easily. It is only about the amount of fights per mission which should be reduced, nothing else. Moreover i try to watch those problems not only from my perspective but all of the people in Contest of Champions. If you go through all of the content without any problems than i am very happy for you, but there are many more players around which lose interest in EQ and the Game because Kabam won't realize that not every content has to be "everest content".
