Pause cheaters
@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex
Take a look to this proposal by @Magrailothos
Or limit the pause for Fifteen seconds for the match whole time
Thank you i did saw all the previous comments. i just wanted to share another one.
All reporting pausers is doing is wasting Kabam's time when they could be researching actual cheaters, so congrats?
Pausing isn't cheating. It's against the spirit, absolutely, but it's not cheating.
As they've said, they're all for trying to stop this practice, it's rather difficult to do so without removing an at times necessary function - as shown above.
I agreed with original poster-pausing is considered cheating.
I am absolutely shocked that Kabam and many other players had lacked common sense in global mobile game industry.
Many mobile game PvP modes don't allow pausing because they are real-time, online experiences shared with other players
Pausing is impractical and unfair in a competitive environment. To handle real-life interruptions, players must find safe spots in the game to go "afk" or accept that they may have to quit and potentially rejoin later
Competitive integrity: Allowing a pause would give an unfair advantage to the player who pauses, as they could use the time to strategize or wait for a real-life situation to resolve while their opponent is frozen.
You guys should know Dragon Ball Z right? This is well known global anime. They also got a pretty good mobile game (Note: I am NOT the PR for that game, but I had played it before long time ago).
Dragon Ball Legends is a mobile fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, first released in 2018. It features a unique, card-based fighting system and an original storyline that involves characters from across the Dragon Ball timeline, including a mysterious Saiyan boy named Shallot, who is central to the game's narrative. The game has been a significant commercial success, surpassing 100 million registered users by April 2024, and it has received awards such as the Google Play "Best of 2018" award
In short, their PVP mode had restricted any PAUSING:
Players cannot pause during PvP matches in Dragon Ball Legends to prevent cheating, as the inability to pause is a core design choice for competitive, real-time gameplay. Pausing would allow opponents to exploit the pause to gain an unfair advantage, such as to analyze the opponent's moves or take a break while the opponent is forced to wait
That's why I want to provide the correct methodology here-pausing should be consideredd as cheating inside any mobile game PVP mode (such as battleground). This is common sense in mobile game industry.
Note: I love MCOC since I had played it for 10 years already. I had also tried various mobile game PVP mode before.
how did OP ever make it to Plat II? Are that many people throwing matches?
Amazing Info
Hope Kabam guys take a look
@Kabam Crashed please try on Summoners Fest this Saturday/Sunday
Did ChatGPT write that for you? What if someone has something come up and they pause for a few seconds then unpause and win? Why should players that are inconvenienced be so severely punished beyond the lost points from a slower time? Removing the pause button is not a solution. The sad truth is, if you can't get more than 15k points you should not be climbing.
Im surprised you managed to register an account and find the post button, truly an amazing specimen
To be honest, as I had mentioned before, I had played this game before since Dragon Ball is really popular globally. Also, all the information can be found by google. You don't need to use tool like ChatGPT
if pause button is removed inside PVP (e.g. Battleground) and you are afraid that something would come up in short time, try to find another safe moment/spot to play battleground. We are all grown up adult and should well planned everything BEFORE you do something. if something really comes up, just quit and potentially rejoin later.
Another real example besides gaming: would you texting while driving? Definitely NOT.
Many countries prohibit texting while driving, with laws becoming more common globally as awareness of distracted driving grows. Examples include Australia, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands, and it is banned for all drivers in 48 states plus the District of Columbia in the United States. Some countries have more comprehensive bans that include both handheld and hands-free devices
You won't play PVP (e.g. battleground) while you drive.
My POV is totally based on common sense and safety.
Just FYI my game background:
10 years player inside APAC Have lived/studied/worked/traveled globally throughout my whole life (APAC and North America).
My POV is totally based on common sense that if you can't score more than 15k, then you are playing at a higher tier than you should be and you're lucky to have gotten this far.
Moron thread.
Can Someone explain the 'pause' button debacle and what do they meaning by "farming for points" and what's the purpose of it?
Are you rage baiting? Oh my lord. I know you're not but I just can't believe what I just read.
Yes, we are all grown-ups and most have jobs and family. If people have to pause or are using this pause tactics that eventually should give you an advantage is stressing you out then you have far worst problems. It’s a game, it’s not that deep.
Pause cheaters are desperate and afraid because they know, after Sp3 skip button, Pause button will be removed Mwahaha
