We're excited to share some upcoming Season 34 changes to Battlegrounds (Mini-BGs), that will enhance your gameplay experience and create more balanced matchmaking! Our goal is to ensure a more enjoyable and rewarding experience for all players, regardless of their Story Progression level. We will also be extending the season over the holiday season, so the upcoming Season does not start while the team is on break.

Gladiator Circuit Buff Meta Change
- Weeks 5-6 (Extended Season):
Mini-Battlegrounds Changes (Woo-hoo)
Divided Matchmaking Queues Based on Progression!We're introducing two distinct matchmaking queues for Mini-BGs, tailored to your Story Level Progression (PRG).
Queue 1: Unranked Matchmaking (Proven+)
- Who can play? This queue is for players with a Progression Rank of Proven or higher.
- Always Active: Enjoy a persistent 5-week season cycle with no downtime!
- Focus on Fun, Not Rank: You won't make Victory Track (VT) or Gladiator Circuit (GC) progression in this queue. For players that are Proven - Cavalier, only your personal info (Name, Saga boost, etc.) will be displayed.
- Matchmaking: Matchmaking is purely based on your Account's Top 30 Prestige Rating, ensuring you're matched with similarly powerful opponents.
- VT Buffs Only: This queue will always utilize Victory Track buffs.
- Rewards: Solo Objectives Will be your primary source of rewards, we're also making store changes which will provide more impactful value for Trophy Tokens based on your PRG.
- Store additions: We extended the Battlegrounds store starting at Proven, maintaining the same identity with mainly vertical progression items and crystal shards relevant to that progression.
- Energy Cost: 5 Energy per entry.
Queue 2: Ranked Matchmaking (Thronebreaker+)
- Who can play? This queue is for our most seasoned Summoners, Thronebreaker or higher. Essentially, nothing has changed with the overall rank/mode structure with this queue from what's currently in-game.
- Please Note: Uncollected & Cavalier summoners that previously played in the VT will no longer match there. You will now only have access to the Unranked queue.
- Competitive Seasons: The Regular Season queue will follow a 1-week off, then 4-week on cycle, with no changes to the Season event setup. While the Ranked season is over, you will still be able to play in the Unranked queue.
- Progress and Conquer: This is where you'll make progress in your VT and GC ranks!
- Rank-Based Matchmaking: Matches will be based on your rank within the VT/GC matchmaking system.
- Full Buff Experience: Enjoy both VT and GC buffs in this queue based on your progression.
- Familiar Rewards: The reward identity remains the same as current VT/GC tuning, though we'll review it for any necessary adjustments based on the new Unranked queue.
- Energy Cost: 90 Elders Marks per entry into the VT or GC queues.
Elder's Marks are Evolving!
- The new way to play: Elders’ Marks will now be the exclusive entry cost to Ranked Battlegrounds..
- Store Conversions: Don't worry, you will be able to purchase Elders’ Marks with Energy in the store at any time, at 15 Energy > 90 Elders' Marks.
Mini-BGs recap:
- New Unlock Requirement: The Mini-BGs mode will now officially unlock when achieving the Proven progression level.
- Updated Battlegrounds Store: The Battlegrounds store will also become accessible when achieving Proven.
- Tailored Store Offers: We're creating a new store specifically for Proven & Conqueror players, offering greater value for your Trophy Tokens at those progression levels. We'll also review the purchasing power for other Progression levels to ensure they continue to receive valuable options from the BG store.

For this extended season we will be running a
BATTLEGROUNDS SPECIAL EXTENDED SEASON solo event.
Cozy up with fellow Summoners and enter Battlegrounds to earn points for this event.
- Proven to Cavalier Summoners can earn:
- Summoners Fest Crystal Shard Selectors
- 5 and 6-Star Nexus Hero Crystals
- And special Emotes from Milestone Rewards
- Thronebreaker and above can get:
- 7-Star Hero Crystal Shards
- 7-Star Titan Crystal Shards
- This event also has ranked rewards!
