Twitch Announcement & Drops

The announcement of being able to complete your drops from watching other channels after the ban was handled horribly. One shouldn’t have to go searching for an announcement like that. It should have been handled by announcing in the game not by just announcing it in the forums and hoping people happen upon it. This means if one doesn’t go to the forums and happen across the right thread, one doesn’t get the information. There are A LOT of us that have been trying to find out how to finish up for a couple days now. I watched the video of Summoner’s Fest on the Kabam Twitch channel for several hours thinking that was where I got my drops from. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE. A lot of us were really close but got hammered by the way the ban and its fallout was handled.

You can't send out a message in-game at a moment's notice.

You can send a Discord announcement or forum post at a moment's notice - this is why we have these forms of communication

I’m just saying this could have been handled better by addressing it as it happens. Instead of a day of confusion and then the announcement getting buried in a sea of Twitch forum threads. A message on the Twitch page when the page came back up would have been seen by almost all of us that were trying to find out how to proceed.

I’ve been in this game along time and I appreciate the effort that goes into trying to make this fun for all of us. I like many others spent along time trying to listen to the stream having to do it in chunks because we have real life we have to work around.

I do appreciate you guys at Kabam. It’s just really frustrating coming up a couple hours short due to a technical error somewhere.

We would have liked to do that, however, once a Twitch Campaign starts, you can't change the expiration date.

We tried to get the information out as soon as possible. We posted it in announcements here and Discord with tags/notifications as soon as we were able to confirm all items in place. Unfortunately, speculation had already taken over, making it harder for people to find the factual information they needed. I was hoping there would be as wide of coverage on the solution outside of just our comms, but that didn't pan out. In the future we'll try to figure out some additional ways to get the news out there, or lean back in on closing/merging threads to clear the noise.
