Fantastic Force Crystal Shards Situation

So, today we have a new gatcha box, and this reminded me that, a couple months ago, we had a similar one, with the Fantastic Force crystals. One free, the rest for units or money, I don't remember, many of us who used the free key, got 5k FF crystal shards. 5k out of 15k for one crystal, and, I remember clearly,
Kabam said that they were going to do an exchange, FF shards for 7* shards.
Nothing of that sort happened all this time, and went to my crystals tab, and the shards were missing as well.
What exactly happened here?

That's a good question. I also had those and forgot all about them.

I could be wrong but they might have been automatically converted at the end of the saga. Mike had said it would be a 1-1 conversion and I think it probably happened sometime in October if that is what happened.
