What is the use of ranking down

You may have ranked up a character using lots of resources which takes a while to retrieve and then come to a realization that you like another character which seems more useful so they help correct mistakes in ranking up the wrong champion.

So i get all the ISO8s I used to upgrade the champion

No not this time for some reason they decided not to allow us to get our iso or gold back.

You'll get all your catalysts back which you used in ranking up. But not gold or ISO-8
