MODOK or Spot for R4 Sig200?

Neither duped but I have a science ag and tons of sigs for either champ. I know Spot is great but Modok would be a unique rankup and technically a better use of the gem as he's not in basic pool. Im mostly wondering if anyone can share their experience with modok as he's a newer 7* and I havent heard much about him after he was buffed.

I’d give the gem to Modok, he’s definitely more of a defender but I pulled a 7* as well and if you spam heavy and throw his sp2 during the increase crit window (every 7th hit) he can actually deal some decent damage.

He deals some decent damage in the video at sig 100 but if you really want him for attack has to be maxed so every hit has a 100% chance to apply dot.

Defensively however completely different story, one awakening is more than enough.

I awakened mine thanks to the 7* founder's crystals we got and so far he is undefeated in BGs and that's not an exaggeration at all:

He has been completely slept on ever since he came out as a 7* for some weird reason when he is easily a top 5 science defender and a way better defender than High Evo in general simply because his shield triggers more often and it just completely interrupts rotations which wastes a lot of time, you have to be throwing heavies every one or two combos.

Now of course some like Yelena can easily do him with 100% but it's still not going to be a quick fight because like I said you have to be constantly throwing heavies wich messes up with a lot of rotations. From my own testing Cull and Red Guardian are the only ones that can truly take him out very fast because they can deal a lot of damage out of their heavies. This however means that on any meta where he is stun immune he is going to be ridiculously strong because true sense true strike don't work on him, you can't use unblockable and you can't heavy him either which makes Cull and Red Guardian terrible. This leaves you with true accuracy and undermine as the only way to counter him but both of these are niche for the most partanr champs like Bullseye are still going to take a good minute to take out a r4. Anyways enough rambling lol yes he is an amazing defender, way better than Spot and I'm surprised people have been sleeping on him so hard.

Dont worry about rambling! This was a better response than I could've asked for. I'm definitely leaning toward MODOK now. I think I will wait over the next week to get the 7* nexus from the webstore points, as I could dupe him from that, but if I dont get him there he will get that gem.
