Please stop putting things like deathless pieces in battleground rewards

I’m glad there’s lots of summoners that enjoy battlegrounds. I’m glad the rewards are good for them. But please stop trying to force everyone to play bgs. I personally dislike everything about the game mode and don’t want to do it. When you do stuff like put Starlord pieces or idol pieces in bgs it really grinds my gears. Can we knock this off?

It's sooooo tedious and repetitive as well. Much more of a slog to earn than any other pieces that are at least tied to interesting things.

I don't really have a problem with it myself, but I can definitely see the argument that it would be much nicer to have these kinds of rewards in solo rather than competitive content. That way, it always feels as if it's in your hands rather than at the hands of Kabam's matchmaking. My main account will be just fine - I don't think I've missed reaching GC in years there - but my almost-Valiant baby alt account will probably struggle quite a lot.

There's just a very different feeling missing out on a piece simply because you weren't good enough to beat a particular challenge yourself (which is fair enough) vs missing out on a piece because other players with bigger accounts beat you down when you tried to reach up and grab it (which is just annoying).

You do realize how powerful Deathless Thanos is, right? Getting Cosmic Dr. Doom will probably just as or even more powerful.

I imagine it’s “get this piece in Battlegrounds” or “complete Necropolis with X champion as a 5*”

the reality is this chase is for players with developed rosters and skill. If you don’t fall into one or both of these, this chase will not be for you. You may want to consider getting the 6* pieces.

This, 100% agree, people are expecting a handout and that's not how this works lol of course the pieces are going to require some effort which isn't necessarily going to be enjoyable. It never was meant to be enjoyable in the first place, what is enjoyable is when it eventually pays off and you get Stellar Forged Doom. It was the same thing with Thanos I don't know why people suddenly have ean issue with it but it's funny

Honestly,.. you gotta make the sacrifice if you want it bad enough.

I got all the Bgs objectives for deathless pieces because i play it anyways,..but i did not participate in the AW or AQ objectives knowing full well what was at stake and accepting it.

I only have deathless Guilly and am totally fine with that,,,but if you won’t be fine with it this round (or be willing to drop the units),..better get your battle deck ready 😉.

Also to add,..and being frank, we don’t get to dictate where they put the objectives,…they do,..and they won’t necessarily make it comfortable or easy to appease the player base,…and they shouldn’t.

Think about summoners that aren’t even in an alliance and maybe strictly “arena grinders”,…they will have to dump many units for pieces if the objectives are in alliance modes.

Was waiting for this response lol. I have 35 7r4's and have little trouble getting to circuit. The problem is that I don't WANT to. I don't WANT to do bg's. I don't LIKE bg's. I shouldn't have to do a game mode I don't want to do, and neither should you. They make it so punishing for so long if you miss a piece to one of these special champs. BG rewards should be good, because it's a competitive game mode, but it shouldn't include year-long chase champs that are gonna probably be required for other content later.

Didn't we have to wait a REALLY long time, like almost two years, before the deathless pieces were available for units? That's definitely an option, but if memory serves, it was kinda too late to matter much. Who knows when stellar-forged pieces will be available for units or any other way.

I didn't ask for it to be effortless or be a handout, I asked for it to not be in battlegrounds. There's many other ways they could make the piece available without making it effortless.

Also, imo, it SHOULD be meant to be enjoyable. Every part of the game should be meant to be enjoyable. But even if that's what they're trying to do, everyone's different and likes different things, and you can't please everybody. So because of that, how about we don't try to force everyone to do every game mode?

Well I guess we'll find out, if you're right then that's not nearly as bad as I remembered. 5k units hurts but it's doable.

Yeah, I’m pretty much fed up with Battlegrounds, as fixing the matching making will never truly happen. Unless you have the luck of the draw, it’s a pain in the butt and very aggravating. It’s also beyond annoying to have to fight the same annoying defenders over and over and over again. The solo objectives are much better way to go and it feels much more attainable without hating the game in the process.

Then don’t do it and grind arena so you can get it with units later, or even better use money, you’ve already used it to get 35 r4s no big deal (that’s more than what I got and I am a moderate spender) but nobody is forcing you to do anything lol you’re gonna get a guaranteed strong cosmic 7* champ who also happens to be a fan favorite of course some of these objectives aren’t going to be enjoyable in the slightest if you want it for free. Furthermore, if your roster really is that stacked you should have zero issues getting to GC on week one and then not touch it for the rest of the season, so dramatic 💀

Well most of us enjoy BGs, you obviously understand they can’t please everyone.

I enjoy BGs personally, most people do so how about you don’t force us to play the game casually just because you do? I know people love to pretend BGs isn’t everything but it’s the most popular game mode there is and that’s just a fact. Unfortunately like you said, can’t please everyone so just tough it out.

They never said they were fixing matchmaking because it's not broken. They said they were adding a new mode, unranked, which would match based on roster. But it's unranked, so it's actually really worthless imo.

I feel like you're trying to straw-man me every time you reply. I'm not saying get rid of battlegrounds. I'm not saying nobody should like battlegrounds. I'm not saying all rewards should be handed out for zero effort.

I'm saying that I would like kabam to not put pieces of special champions, which will be needed for other content/events later, in battleground rewards, because not everyone likes doing battlegrounds.

You are allowed to have your own opinion on this, and you do not have to agree with me, but I'd appreciate it if you'd stop accusing me of saying extreme things I didn't say.
