Unit Deals Help

I know no one here can normally help, but as an fyi and I will update progress.

My brother is reaching out to MCoC Support. I paid about $85. I bought him two bundles as an early Christmas gift.

I got him the Supreme Collection and Supreme Growth using my credit card and then deleted my card info via Google pay. They sent him an email that they were refunding money to his google play.

They gave him back about 15 dollars and drained his account to -2999 units. He had about 5000 units. He is level 62, so he had got about 2000 units from the $30 deal. My credit card is still being charged about $17. The deal, plus tax is around $32 So they took $17 dollars refunded part and now he is 8000 units behind. My guess is they took the whole 10000 units, minus the 2000 he has already got.

I did not cancel my payment. I have no simple way of changing my amount and why would I. I have been totally aware of people buying and then backing out a purchase and wondering what happened.

So now it looks like I would need to pay about $300 to replace his units, because of a $30 deal. So plz do not delete this and I will update. But just an fyi if it happens to someone else....and this does not count for people that try to cancel to get both. I'm not a thief, but I am a bit furious at the moment. He is going to ask them to recharge my card the amount they put back to his google play.

My brother is in for Thanksgiving and has to try to get this figured out when he only is able to come in like 6 times a year.

The units are still in the account, just inaccessible. You’ll see then once 2999 contest credits (the negative red units) are purchased. As far as explanations, this one sounds strange and I’ve got nothing - unless Google groups purchases together and charges you at a future point, and there were no payment options when they tried to do so, since the card was removed.

Thanks! I came on to post an update similar to this. I bought him a digital $25 card code and it is all good....minus a few dollars, but better than $300

Huge coincidence that the negative amount matched up close. However, those were credits, not actual units...as you also said above.

So technically...between us, he gets a few extra google dollars from the code card and I am out taxes paid for a card, instead of direct...since they refunded the original taxes that he will pay again. I am relieved...but still annoyed wasting time and a few dollars.

I delete my card info very quickly after entering. I do get the $5 unit monthly here and there to supplement units for these deals. Never had any issue before. I am relieved. Still very worrisome and an inconvenience.

don’t know if removing your credit card info would have a negative impact,..or if “immediately “ removing your credit card payment option would.

But for future reference you should always let the payment clear before removing as all CC payments are “pending” and take several business days for the payment to process.

Thanks. From now on I buy him a card. And in several years I've played (started right before Namor nerf), I've not had this happen ever. So lesson learned.

Hopefully, they also credit my credit card $17.00 on Monday. Or I paid that portion twice too.
