Valiant - When do you think we will get new progression title ?

When did you become valiant ?

I was valiant prob on 2nd or 3rd month it came out.

So far a lot of deals and perks of being valiant hasn’t been anything crazy, especially seeing a lot of lower tier players have so many 7* so easily nowadays

Ran into lv 40 account who just spend money like crazy and complaining about 7* pulls 😩

As for the title
Somewhere in 2026 I’m hoping / guessing before July 4th

As we gonna see r5’s materials and especially banquet where people will spend over $150,000 for the first r5’s

lol cause last years was insane.

And now everyone has r4’s and flood gates are open.

This is kinda insane $200 for 1,000 7* shards as the regular milestones

We don’t even have “monthly” valiant bundle yet lol how insane.

It feels like this game is really progressing really slow to a point where they need to because there’s no plans for 8*

I’m also guessing 8* will arrive in 3-5 years from now’s

My guess would be that the next progression will be at the end of 9.4 and require 3 or 4 R4 7* champions - purely based on prior progression requirements.

It would likely require R5s. I don't imagine kabam would want so many players instantly getting the next progression even ftp.

They could tie it up with current summoner level and/or prestige too since top 30 prestige is a thing now.

Only if they want to add a bit more to the next progression title.

No way R4 would be the requirement, a lot of players have entire BG decks of R4 champions. R5 is the safer bet

There won't be another progression title since it doesn't serve any purpose in the current state of the game

Valiants don't even get proper treatment as the top progression, sometimes lumped together with paragons

We have Top 30 Prestige as a substitute now to determine player's progress in the game

R5 probably won’t be fully available until July 2026 even if some R5 materials start trickling in. That’s likely when the progression title will come.

Just came here to say this. Separation of players is now based on roster strength/ top 30 prestige.

It will be used much like progression titles used to be, but hopefully better. Expect to see it used for much more than EQ rewards soon.

Oh I really like that… one of the requirements being Summoner level 65 or 70 or something.

Hopefully they don’t,.,there’s already too many progression tiers in the game.

I also think there could be some kind of level requirement rather than a specific number of champions of this or that rank. I think it would make sense since the people who do all of the endgame stuff would get there the fastest while everyone else would catch up eventually.

That said, I also find the argument that there simply might not be a shiny new progression level for a very long time if the whole Top 30 prestige thing works out. I think Kabam will fix the chinks in the system as it stands now and then evaluate things when they can see things eventually working smoothly. If they can just use that system, that could potentially take over as the main denominator of player progress in the future. I could, for example, see Cyber Week offers maybe being tiered around Top 30 prestige milestones rather than progression tiers. I could see that being a very tempting idea for Kabam instead of having to cater to increasingly more tiers of progression. We've known that that has been a problem for years.

The main problem I can see with such a system would be that it's a lot harder to reach for endgame prestige rather than just the latest progression tier. I have two accounts: my main that's been Valiant for about two years at this point, and an alt that is one t3a away from being Valiant (so I'll either become Valiant thanks to the free Ravager sale offer, or just before that). However, the difference in Top 30 prestige between those two accounts is insane. My main has a prestige of close to 29K, while my alt's prestige is just over half of that at just under 15K. If they were to introduce a system where the highest rewards were locked to those with a prestige of, say, 25K, then that would make it basically impossible to do any meaningful speedruns to the highest tier. I don't know what kind of prestige Seatin landed at after his week-long speedrun towards Valiant, but I can guarantee you that he's nowhere near that kind of cutoff range. As such, I think that runs the risk of kneecapping one of the more fun aspects of the game for both newer players advancing for the first time and older players (like Seatin and myself) who enjoys taking up a new account to the highest place possible.

I had a member in my alliance who got really excited today because he'd made a push for Valiant in order to get the best offers possible during Banquet and also the best Christmas gift possible, and he just completed that push and became Valiant earlier today (congrats, mate). However, it would be much harder to make such a push if we calculated things based on prestige instead since that requires a lot more of a time and resource investment. You can't just worry about ranking up a few champs and instead have to focus on your entire roster. There is absolutely some value in expanding your whole roster, but doing a six-month push to get a prestige of 25K isn't quite as much fun as a week-long push to two 7r3s and a specific Story milestone to become Valiant can be.

We'll see which route they go, I guess. But either way, my gut feeling is that we won't see another specific progression tier for quite a while. Even if they evaluate the prestige thing and it comes out that it isn't a good way to progress the game with, that conclusion will still probably take quite a while to reach.
