Rank rewards in gifting event

To get the rank rewards, do you have to have gifted the minimum for the highest achieved milestone or just gifted anything in general.

    Last year you could just gift anything. It says you have to reach a minimum but like I said after the Ally reached a milestone if you gifted anything you would get it. Not sure if it got fixed this year
