Compensation Math

We'll use KT1 as an example, he got 48 7* crystals back as comp. If they're all dupes (the vast majority will be), that comes to:

28,800 - Titan Shards
960 - 7* Signature Stones
480 - T6 Iso Bricks
480,000 - Gold
(and probably none of the new champs anyway)

Agreed. This was straight up lazy work and incompetence from Kabam. But hey, at least they’re consistent with it lol

One group was going to take the brunt of this mistake…. And Kabam chose to make sure it wasn’t them with time and effort. But don’t worry, those summoners that didn’t get the OP comp can take solace that Kabam learned from it…

The compensation should have been to send 1:1 fixed crystals to those who opened the broken crystals and 1:1 broken crystals to those who opened the fixed crystals. That way, everyone who had been hoarding crystals for this opening would have ended up with the same odds of opening up the new champions, without being penalised for opening their crystals after the fix.

I lost out on 22 7*s plus the resources that go with them due to finishing work a few minutes after the fix. Needless to say, I'm not happy.

Feel free to correct me on numbers, but basically the issue was 20 new champs missing with 200 champs in the crystal. Should've just send a [1/10 * crystals_opened] + 1 to everybody with only that 20 missing champs in the comp crystals. So if you opened 48 crystals, you get compensation of 5. That's the solution that's fair and doesn't give huge benefit to any players
