So…Solvarch

I know more folks are probably interested in threads on the final Eidol - but this one isn’t about squiddy.

I’m interested in how folks are feeling about Solvarch now that he has been out for a few months. Personally, I probably had the same initial reaction that it seems like many did - that he was Niche and a bit mid outside of that. However, now a couple of months later I’m finding he is a surprisingly good defender and also counters a couple of particularly annoying defenders (I’m looking at you Captain Britain).

I’ve warmed up to him enough that I’m thinking about ranking him up further and also considering even potentially investing in a tech AG on him if I pull one in the near future.

If you have him, what has your experience been? How valuable have you found his sig ability to be?

Solvarch is one of the most underrated two-way Champions in the game, imho

A top tech champion, best against mutants (though can do others like Bullseye and Photon), but a great stall defender without a good counter

I don't think his sig ability is really that important, I feel like if anything it can screw up your ramp completely because you lose your armor.

As for Solvarch himself as a champ, top 5 tech regardless of what some people like swiss cheese might say. He handles all the most problematic mutant defenders and the ones that apply neuros on you for just hitting them he absolutely nukes:

He has been one of my most banned champs only after Dark Phoenix which is why I barely have any matches where I actually get to use him or place him

But on the few I placed him on defense he cooked so far, and again I am in Mysterium so this isn't just a skill issue he really is that good of a defender.

Anyways yeah top 15 champ for BGs overall easily, anyone who says otherwise is probably a VT noob lol I would even go as far as saying that he is by far the best and only meta Eidol out of all of them because of defensive prowess and mutant nuker potential.
