Banquet Recruiting Question

Yeah, I know. We already missed the "cutoff"...

However, unforeseen events (new guy won't contribute to AW or Coliseum) are pushing us towards needing to recruit. If we bring in someone today (11th) will they just need to hold off for 14 days in order to qualify for for Alliance milestones? (Merry Christmas to them) I would just like to confirm before we go out looking and possibly tell people something wrong and ruin their Banquet.

Yes, they just have to wait 14 days from when they join the alliance.

Bonus question: Do they need to wait for the timer to expire to participate, or are their points banked and they can collect their milestones as soon as it ends?

Points won't get banked. They'll need to wait out the timer to open thier crystals and contribute points.
