What do you look for and/or value in champions the most?

Obviously there's a whole range of things that we focus on when we think of our best/favourite champions, but what is your number 1?

- Damage Potential
- Utility
- They look cool (in MCoC)
- I like their Comic Book / Movie / TV Show character depiction
- How they're ranked on [Content Creator]'s Tier List
- Throwing a dart at the wall and seeing who it hits

Fun to play. I mean how they feel when playing them. I hate Northstar for example. Actually hate okoye too, though I did rank her because, well, she's Okoye.

Outside of that I prefer dual threats above all, utility.

Utility with a touch of damage and a unique play style.

Big nukes are fun, but i do feel like they make some content feel really stale unless they have a decent rotation. Cull for example, I kinda just feel like i'm zoning out as I run him through quests. But, champs like Dazzler are really fun and it's nice to see big chunks of damage.

Not a huge fan of overly complicated and/or really long ramp ups for just big mediums and lights, either.

Squidopus

I much prefers utility over damage. Besides grinding for the absolute top ranks of BGs and maybe some of the Everest content like Necro with death timer mechanics, there’s nothing in the game that will really stop you from completing content with a champ that does things slower. You will, however, run into a LOT of problems where damage does not solve the fact that your champion isn’t Bleed Immune or doesn’t ignore Unstoppable or doesn’t inflict Debuffs (barring revive spamming anyways). Even in BGs and Necro you can’t rely on pure nuking alone, you’ll usually find that you need both.

Beyond that though, I just need to actually like playing the champ, or at least tolerate using them. This game has 300+ champs to choose from, there’s not any problem restrictive enough that I feel the need to bother with an option I don’t want to use. It’s why whenever I offer rank up advice, I’ll offer some more objective views but also often say to just rank who you want. “God tier” or whatever classification people use these days won’t mean anything when said god just collects dust because you don’t know how to use them or don’t like playing them enough to take them off the bench.

For champs that I’m taking to the highest level, I’m looking for utility that directly impacts what my opponent wants / needs to do. I want things in my kit that will take away something from the opponent. And then they need some damage. But in that order.

For me it’s 1) do I enjoy the playstyle, then 2) do they do something useful for my questing teams. I’m a casual player so not too worried about running the optimal war team or BG deck.

I dont like having to read a thesis to understand the champ and I'm a sucker for big yellow/red numbers.

Two main things: Is it a character I love? And is it somewhat easy or intuitive to use?

Ease of use and damage for me.

I'm not the most skilled player and trying to remember the specific order to do certain things for maximum potential for over 300 champions cooks my noodle.

Play style is important too, I get wrecked playing as Spider woman because she has weird animations.

Okoye was the same but I got used to her, I guess if I played SW more I'd get used to her too.

Mysterio

I mainly want champions who I like from the games/movies/comics. Mysterio is my favorite Marvel character even if he is very underwhelming in game. I don't mind if that gives me a weaker spot in the competitive scene, I play this game to play with my favorite Marvel characters cause I enjoy it that way!

Also make Mysterio beyond god-tier Kabam!
