inquring about a quest in back issue

Trying to get the last few units in Back Issues for Deadpoolooza, Valiant, Chapter 3, Quest 1.
In image 1, after beating sentinel at the intersection, it should give 2 paths to choose, either the path with Maestro (which is cleared) or the path with the lvl 1 revive (which I want to go to). But the node is lighting green, giving just 1 path.

In image 2, I'm going back in again, and after beating Groot, and at the intersection, I'm given 2 paths to choose, either head to the path with Iceman or the path with Sentinel.

It seems I wasted a full quest energy just to explore a small path of the quest.

Is this how it's suppose to work?

You Have to look at the direction of the strokes, they give you an idea of where you have to go. Other than that, you have to plan in advance what path you will take. That's all I can say.

it’s because you’re required to take the path with groot to get to the path with iceman. My guess is either that side takes two runs or you chose accidentally to take an extra run because you repeated part of the quest earlier.

can’t get in there right now to see the bigger picture, but…

As was said, you can NOT go in direction left from Sentinel to the left (Groot side but up to Iceman). Only from Groot side going right to EITHER Iceman or Sentinel.

Now, as to why 1 extra segment (not even an extra node) between left side onto Sentinel ??

Maybe the earlier part before Groot had 2 different paths in there, so 1 time would go up to Iceman, while the other time (prior to Groot) is needed to be done but doesn’t really matter where you go from there. Or in fact, the section beyond Maestro splits apart into 2 different sections, so that you need to go up there twice anyways (thus once from left and once from right).

Or if not, and because it looks like just 1 segment between 2 nodes themselves that would have already been hit, you may NOT have to actually run that time (although you already did, so wasted) just to cross over a 1-link segment (from Groot side, onto Sentinel and beyond to Maestro). That time might have been unnecessary ??
