About the Eidols Shards

I bought some Solvarch shards, but I was missing one and ended up with 11. It ended up being removed from the store and I couldn't get it.
Will these shards return to the store at some point, or will they be obtainable in another way? I know there's an option to exchange one shard for 1500 7* shards, but that doesn't seem worthwhile.
I imagine they'll eventually become part of the basic crystals, but I wanted to know about the shards.
