Who to r4, science?

I can soon r4 a champ in science class, already have spam, swomen and scorp at r4.

My main options are photon and modok, as I'm looking for defenders mainly. Unfortunately, I don't have high evol, so it's between those 2.

My photjn is sig 1 so is she still worth it for bg defense? My modok is sig 1 too, I can max sig one of them, whoever I r4. I'm leaning towards modok, so far, it's 50/50 on defense either he gets nuked or opponent dies, Please let me know what you guys think.

Btw I believe modok doesn't need max sig for defense right?

Modok doesn’t need max sig, he’s a good defender but I think Photon is the better defender if you can sig her up. She’s also a much better attacker. If you wait a bit longer we will be getting 7* Rhino and he’ll probably be one of the best science defenders as well, but I think he’ll want his sig ability for the crit resistance.

yes her value is the same as its always been which is weird seeing as she seemingly has more counters now

Photon easy,.,she’s still a decent defender and her ability to parry non contact attacks is real useful,..keeps her ramp up and is excellent on attack.
