I missed 1st wave, so my 2c on EQ
Alright Kabam, let’s have a chat.
I’ve been tapping this screen for a decade. I’ve survived "12.0", I’ve survived the overheating phones, and I’ve survived the Input Drop Era. But this new Elder Difficulty / Adaptive EQ setup? This might actually be the thing that breaks me.
I’m a Paragon player. I’m not asking for freebies. But can someone explain why I need a PhD in Mathematics just to figure out what I’m actually earning?
1. The "Invisible" Loot Box:
In every other mode, I fight boss -> I get chest -> dopamine hits brain. Simple.
In this new EQ, I fight for my life against Necropolis-level health pools, burn my stash, and get... nothing? Oh right, I got "Etherion Points" that unlocked a milestone silently in the background. It feels like I’m doing unpaid overtime. Stop hiding the rewards inside a cumulative math problem. If I beat the hardest content you have, I want to see the loot drop, not check a "Milestones" tab 20 minutes later.
2. The "Ramp-Up" Robbery:
Who at HQ decided that "Swap Nodes" should reset persistent charges? You’ve effectively banned an entire archetype of champions.
Aegon? Useless.
Apoc Horseman? Reset.
Herc Feats? Gone.
I spent years ranking these champs for long-form content. Now you force me to play "perfect intercepts only" with zero ramp-up allowed, while the AI has 500k Health and hits like a truck. It’s not "difficulty"—it’s a revive tax.
3. The "Two-Tier" Joke:
The gap between "Classic" and "Elder" is absurd. Classic is auto-fight boring, and Elder is "burn your units" painful. There is no middle ground anymore. I tried Elder, realized the juice wasn't worth the squeeze (especially with the misleading reward display), and backed out.
I want to play this game, but you’re making it really hard to justify the battery life. Fix the visual rewards, let us keep our persistent charges (it's PVE, let us have fun), or watch the 10-year vets finally hang up the cape.
