I believe that alliance leaders and officers should get a small prize for alliances that have been around for long period of time. An annual award for everything they do. This would help with recruiting and placement planning and getting people to play. Something to think about to help keep people engaged. Or at least something around those lines to help the people who keep it moving when others don’t have the time.
