So… do we just have to accept how “overly intelligent” the AI behaves in this game now?

I’m not gonna beat the dead horse (for obvious reasons) but out of genuine curiosity do you all just not play test your game anymore? Ever?
Because with just a few BG’s matches (where I’ve noticed the AI is exceptionally overly intelligent- but of course it’s not the only place you’d see these issues) you’d see the very clear, out of control issues the AI causes.
Especially in nodes like invade, where every bit of lost HP is a huge deficit- the AI being able to make frame perfect light intercepts or hold block for a second or two, and hit me with an SP1 the second they get it… just some things I’ve noticed.

It all boils down to profits, AI is making your life difficult so they can make money from players who are lowly skilled

Players can either get rewards from defeating difficult AI or pay money to get more of those same rewards

Also this comment is completely out of touch because their big money makers aren’t health potions or revives, and in BGs where this issue is the worst there is nothing you can do about it not even through spending. Their big money makers are the massive sales where people whale out, stop pretending like potions and revives actually make them money because this isn’t 2016 anymore, and the last time we got a massive piece of long form content that just ate through your potions and revives to that extent was Necropolis which happened years ago.

Well anyone with technical knowledge will know that there is a quick fix solution which is to roll back to the previous version of AI but that AI was so easy to fight, it will cost Kabam millions in lost revenue

AI 2.0 is complex in that it ALLOWS Kabam to adjust the level of difficulty to whatever level Kabam likes it to be

The current AI is difficult and Kabam cannot control the difficulty however Kabam pleases

I think players misunderstand AI 2.0 as purely making AI easier to fight, that’s not AI 2.0

AI 2.0 is making AI adjustable to do whatever Kabam wants it to do, be it being more difficult to fight or easier to fight to suit the needs of every piece of content so new players can experience increasing difficulty as opposed to the same level of difficult AI that is meant for endgame content right in the beginning chapter

Yes and if you actually read the posts you would know that they specifically mentioned that they're trying to stop AI from being so unpredictable at times just out of nowhere which is the main complaint about AI currently. Kabam still makes money selling consumables to players who just picked up the game playing, not every player is like you with a big stash of revives, some newer players still buy consumables in 2026

They literally said consumables don’t make them any money anymore which is why we were getting such expensive sales every three months, it’s also the reason why first appearance exists now and it’s also the reason why small things like the plat pass and piggy banks exist as well. Do you even play the game at all? They’re constantly selling things every month, you’re just not looking at the bigger picture. Sure some people might buy units specifically for revives, but saying they make millions out of consumables is such a big stretch it’s not even funny.

Account rating is ultimately irrelevant at the end of the day and is hardly a solid position to stand on in relation to your ability to navigate the challenges of the game. Newer players have a much easier time in content now because their rosters are bigger and the content is literally easier. If anything, newer players are spending less consumables in spite of the skill gap.

By the time new players get to content that is actually challenging, they've either gotten better at the game or there is nothing that can be done to overcome the fact that they don't have the skill set to do things for free/cheap, which Kabam ultimately has no control over. Those players are either most commonly free-to-play and take their sweet time going through content so they don't have to pay for consumables, or they spend money on their roster so they can either bully or ignore the content altogether. The players that don't fall into these categories hardly make up a visible wedge in the pie chart of Kabam's earnings.

One thing I've noticed lately is that when I end up getting combo-ed and am just crazy tapping light attack or holding block, the defender will sometimes be faster than that and just go into another combo.
