I’m confused - MEQ auto Elder difficulty

I thought this month they were changing MEQ to automatically let you into elder difficulty and let you bring in one team for the path with no more elimination nodes.

Are either of these changes meant to be in this MEQ?

No, they said that was (somehow) still a work in progress.

What's new this EQ is the return of five-champion teams and the removal of choice nodes for Elder.
