This stupid Coliseum situation

Hello everyone, I want to seriously complain and vent my frustration.

How ridiculously complicated and cumbersome are these two Coliseum enemies plus their corresponding nodes?

Kabam, what are you thinking?

It's so incredibly annoying. I have absolutely no time to play because I'm constantly busy figuring out what I'm supposed to do. As if Arcade wasn't hard enough already, no, they have to add insanely complicated nodes on top of it. Same with Crossbones. Why the SP2 lock? Why the degeneration? It's absolutely no fun. The rewards aren't worth it either. Sometimes the game lags and you can't perform heavy attacks. Then, of course, you have to have the right champions, as always. What the hell are you thinking? This isn't "fun," it's not "challenging," or anything else enjoyable. I'm so annoyed by it, I'm angry and stressed. I love the game but this has nothing to do with fun and relaxed gaming, not even a single T5AC justifies it! Gosh. Thanks, have a good evening!

As RichTheMan mentioned in his latest Coliseum video, these fights are NOT designed to be friendly or fun, with the horrible AI and defender/node choices. Just like most other content with mediocre rewards lol.

Arcade AI is silly. Crossbones sp lock is silly. They just had to find a way to make the player face an sp2 didn't they

I don't have an issue with the defenders or the nodes, but AI in these fights is so passive and sneaky and reacts in such faster frame rates that yes, it's not much fun to play.

But I'm starting to realize that "fun" may not be the experience Kabam intends the players to have; maybe frustration and addiction and ragebait are intentional, I don't know….

I love it also that AI knows that stun immune is up and hits a fat 5 hit combo into your block because you are in a desperate need to get a heavy off for the tokens

or worse. 3 hit combo, doesn’t throw heavy, dashes back in the middle of that and then back in for another 5 hit combo straight into the block

I don’t like these fights.

But I do like that this time everyone is capped at ~12-14 healthbars maximum with average ~10 healthbars.

This is a good progress. At least now it is less grindy because you do your max, you get good podium level, e.g. 3. And you stop.

Nobody is grinding 20 healthbars. This is for good.

Worst node ever to put a bane on crossbones they knew what they were doing it seems like a **** you from kabam honestly. I'm done spending $ on this game they don't deserve it how the state of this broken game is.

You’re hitting the nail on the head.

Both Crossbones and Arcade with these nodes are just awful to deal with. It’s not fun at all — it’s simply annoying.

On top of that, the time investment is huge. It doesn’t feel challenging in a good way, it just makes you angry.

This is not how you make the new Coliseum mode appealing to the player base.

@Kabam we definitely need some changes for the future here

I’m not trying to argue the point, cause I agree with you. The one thing I’d say is that it’s their AI. Part of the design solution should account for that factor being unpredictable and frustrating for players.

Overall, I’d say design and structure of coliseum might be a miss. Certainly isn’t a home run. It’s either vaguely entertaining but pleasantly repetitive (Void, Adam) or irritating and repetitive (Xbones, Arcade). Time will tell, but I’m just not convinced there’s some great future with this mode. I suspect part of the brief was “create something that is efficient to develop and manage over a long period of time,” and it seems like it’s achieved that, at least. I’m just looking for any positive support or feedback and not finding much.

AI is the issue. And the dropped frames/lag/how quickly they get back up to throw their specials. Fights are honestly fine

Or when using cheeilth, he waits until all the bleed debuffs have expired before hitting with a heavy. No remaining bleeds to refresh and I have to start over again.

You know at the start of the arcade fight you can just hold block when your health bar is at 100% and activate the regenerate buff. Don’t worry about fighting because the fight will be over soon anyway.

Just do that five times, easy, peasy. Stop getting worked up.

Little less against solo coliseum.

But Alliance coliseum can suck a turd.

As If the Xbones fight wasn't hard enough with all the bs nodes, we can't use Jean. Total bs. I got 5 bars with a R2 Wong once, but did around 15 fights and got to one bar in less than 5. Insane

11+ years of playing this game and this is the “fun” I keep returning to. Duel Coliseum has to be the single dumbest idea (from a life balance perspective) that I’ve ever possibly witnessed from Kabam. Just downright disrespectful, even if the rewards are good. It’s like they are begging people to walk away and use their time more wisely with decisions like this..

Ofcourse not. People think they give us 1.5 t5 alpha frags etc for doing super easy fights only :D and this aint even so bad just take wong or kushala and you and you regen. Kushala makes so well look kaitus video he just melt crossbones
