After 2 year hiatus, looks like Arena is dead?

Starting playing again last weekend since I put the game down early 2024. Right about the time Valiant was introduced

Arenas had the usual 6 star for top 400, and 5 star for top 5%. Now that we're at 7 star rank 4 champions, I was absolutely sure that a 7 star version of the showcased hero in Arena would be avaliable to the top 400, and 6 star top 5%.....how in the world is still a 6 star for the top 400, and a 5 star for top 5%?

Is Arena still worth it? Just for milestones? Do Arena crystals still have a chance at units?

Arena is the best it will ever be right now. Unit gain is the fastest and easiest its ever been and if arena gets changed for any reason they'll be nerfing the amount of units we're able to get or lengthening the time it takes

Not quite dead. They just don't want to touch arenas because they have admitted that they'd have to nerf the unit yield from them if they ever wanted to make changes. Given how crucial it is for unit farming for a lot of people it's best they leave it as it is

the champs you fight are based on teams other summoners have used, so, if people with r5 champs are not doing arena, you will not see any teams with r5 champs. there also seems to be some sort of grouping because I face a lot of the same summoners' teams all the time, and have for years now
