Envelopes in Lunar Event compared to grinding Arena

Obviously this event is another miss right next to the dance mode, but i was still considering doing it for the units in those red envelopes. Seen some say their drops werent as good compared to previous years, though.

does it take less time overall grinding those units from arena, since for whatever reason they took away the x3 points for 30 energy?

Units in the envelopes? Lol. But, in my opinion, just blindly run through whichever arena is offering units until you get them. Just a better use of time.

This event is garbage.

I opened around 100 envelopes, pulled 88 units so far. Completely embarrassing waste of time.

Is that versus last time Poker was here ? Or are you saying something changed since yesterday regarding 3x points for using Token vs Energy ?

(and, isn’t it still “sort of” 3x for 30 energy, since it only costs 10 energy you can do 3 times with 30 energy)

Energy isnt the issue. Its time. The event requires an insane amount of points for there not to be an option to do it for 3× the energy the way we could during the last poker event.

As stated on the red envelopes, you have 1.68% chance to get units (88 units worth). You'll probably have to do about 10 hrs worth of Lunar event to get to 88 units.

Grind 45 mins Arena on the one that uses 7* champs 4,000,000 max points and you'll get 90 units (only need to get to 2,500,000 points).

Don't waste your time on Lunar.

The unit drop rate is 1.8% brocolli🥀 Absolutely not worth the time.

Just grind a minimum wage job or doordash for the same time instead of grinding and buy units with the money, pretty sure you can get wayyy more. Heck, even arenas are wayy better unless you get extremely lucky on envelope.

I'm glad kaboom is making this super skippable events at the same time I'm getting busy in life. No fomo🥰

I am a very big arena grinder for the units. Been doing it for years.

However, recently I have only done half of rye arena I have always been doing. Seems like Kabam is over flooding the game with new grindy content - with far less units - so we don’t have time to grind arena and get the free units. I am down to around half the units which I normally get.

seems like a strategy from Kabam to make us spend more money.

In fact, we've had more content, but it's a matter of setting priorities.
In the long run, arena will always be the best option.
Daily events are mandatory.
The rest, at least for me, is whatever is possible

I’m at Milestone 22: I’ve pulled 352 units so far, plus I got a First Appearance 7* Goldpool (and a 2* Goldpool).

I wouldn’t call it amazing, but it hasn’t been a complete miss either.

It does become a real grind once you run out of Bronco Tokens though.

very first set of 24 that I opened, I got 3 GoldPool's (2*, 3*, 3* Dup). Thought well that's neat. (but never anymore of them since)

Next sets of 32, 24, and 24. Only got an 88 Units just 1 time in all. And a couple extra Lunar Tokens.

as for earlier, if you mean we used to be able to do a 3x10 energy all at once (instead of 3 separate, time-taking, attempts) ? Ok, didn't remember that, but yes would definitely help speed things up (and keep it on par with) when out of Tokens. But most of the time thru the milestones can be with just Tokens (probably just need a few Energy ones here or there).

It wouldn't be that black and white cause then they cant profit off sales of tokens.if you get bad rng then youll need to sit there grinding it with energy nonstop.

By getting rid of the option for 30 energy for 3× the results and selling tokens, theyve essentially monetized the game mode. Which is sad to see given the last time we had it, it had good reception

Finished up at very end with getting 6* GoldPool, and a 2nd pull of 88 units.

And you can do what, like 30-60 units or such, with just a handful (maybe couple of handfuls) of arena matches twice a week, even if you're not an arena grinder ?

Waiting to see if Ranks and Arena Poker milestones will make up for the grind.

*I actually liked the Poker aspect, just not the boring fights inbetween (only the first day did I even bother looking at who the fights were with, swip-tap-tap…)

I had no plans of doing it. I stopped day 1 after hitting the initial shard milestones.

But some of my ally guys were having fun and discussing it. I being a team first player, hit 136k, nobody forced any grind on anyone. I'm not a arena grinder. Did it friday night while watching conjuring 4 and some epidodes of welcome to derry.

5blue once and 4green once rest all grind.

Rewards: 88 units x4 + 3 bronko tokens. Ehh!!

I don't think I have it in me to do it again. Won't be doing it.
