Is the ai supposed to hit Diablo during his sp1 drinking phase?

Seems now the ai enjoys interrupting my heal and smacking me in the face…

I used to be able to drink safely, and choose whether to cancel it…but no longer..now the ai decides to cancel it for me…along with a nice ko too..

Haven't played him in some time, but usually, if one chaml is in a corner, then he will get interrupted

Been like this forever. Just make sure you're far away when drinking the potion. If you do it at the corner where you're close after knocking them down, they will attack you. But if you're drinking far away, they will let you drink.

How does this work? All spacing for a special is the same, unless you got your back against the wall.

It actually isn’t. Like with Spidermans sp1. It's dexable depending on how close you are to him

The way Diablo creates distance is by dashing back (during the animation). But when he's cornered as an attacker, he does not have any space to dash back.

As for when the Defender is cornered, there is more chance for them to attack since they can't go back. Not to mention that knocking down a defender slightly makes them more aggressive

If you do it in the middle or anywhere as long as your opponent doesn't hit the corner when you knock them down with your SP 1. You should be safe. I do it all the time. They won't move until you finish drinking.

Works every time for me. Just don't knock them down at the corner. That's how far they should be when you knock them down. If it's 2 inches closer to this distance , she will attack you.
