Event is big L. Envelopes are useless. There is nothing rigged, the probabilities are trash and are openly mentioned in the game.
"I spend way too much money on this game." What does money has to do with this?
i think the first 5 milestones are worth because u can grab them in 5-10 minutes , but yeah the red envelopes are not even worth opening, its mostly a low amount of gold or 1 small iso brick
I got a 2-star Goldpool though.
@SirGamesBond yes, the possibilities are openly mentioned in game, as are premium crystal perks, which GUARANTEE certain results after so many crystals. If a guarantee can be made, then it’s a controlled result. If they can GUARANTEE those results, then they can control the results of ANY pull. In my opinion, rigged. If I’m spending my money, I’d like better results on my investment. A guarantee is not a chance only prize.
But thanks for your input and your questioning how I spend my money.
"I spent $5000 on fine dining in a lovely restaurant in this casino, why am I not getting lucky playing thier slot machines?"

I think what OP was trying to say, is that he supports the game, and the development budget is not well spent with the mentioned side event and rewards and its not giving back the players what they deserve.
Sometimes you get lucky…
Let's break it down.
Thread header: lunar new year red envelops.
1: These red envelopes sucks.
100% true, eveyone agrees.
2: The pull seems rigged.
100% False. No matter what people claim, that is just how probability works.
3: I spend way too much money on this game for these raggedy pulls.
This has no relation to the topic, the pulls are independent of money spent. One need to open a humongous number of envelops to gurantee a pull with the odds of 0.08%. (Baseless point, pure rant).
4: Just garbage.
True for most players, but debatable for a few who are enjoying it(not me).
5: The enjoyment of this game is diminishing by the update.
Debatable, but mostly true and I agree.
Received GoldPool 7 stars 😎😁
But the best reward till now was almost 300 units
Thanks Kabam 🥳
As a gambler myself, I can tell you the storyline works in a different way. More along the lines of "I lost 5k; but I ate a 6K worth of dinner and wine for free, so I won 1k" 🤣
If the mode hadn't so grind and the envelopes had been Greater Red Envelopes than just Red Envelopes it would have been better. The mode has potential, but Kabam must make the rewards match the work put in. Hoping that is the case as I imagine Squad Builder mode is not going away permanently.
The secret lies in protein and avoid the carbs!!🦞🐟
That's not how things work. People spend to lease access to whatever aspect of their game they are leasing. Whether that's items or content. It's impossible to cater to the likes of everyone who spends on the game, and we're not shareholders.
As for the Event, we're free to pass on it if we don't like it. I enjoy it overall, so playing it keeps me busy. I've been trying for a 6 or 7 star Goldpool, but nothing yet. Lots of Gold, a few Units, but nothing worth noting. The game is built around RNG. It's part of playing. If I only played for the good pulls I'd be miserable.
@SirGamesBond 1. If the pulls are based solely on probability, then how can Kabam GUARANTEE a 7 star crystal after a specific amount of crystal openings in Premium Crystal Perks?
If you’re involved in writing the code for this game and know for a fact that the aforementioned accusation is not accurate, then I stand corrected. But as a spender, it’s frustrating.
2. I spend way too much money on the game for raggedy pulls. TRUE… I PURCHASED several Bronco Token packs with MONEY to have more opportunities to play that specific content. So, no it is NOT a baseless point. That’s MONEY spent. This is extremely related to the topic.
3. As a gambler that frequents Las Vegas, I DO KNOW that the house ALWAYS HAS THE ADVANTAGE, or the house edge if you will, so wrong example to use pal. I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Las Vegas, but that place wasn’t built on LOOSE slot machines…
Move on dude…
you don't need to be involved with writing code for the game to know the “WHY” or “HOW” behind the Premium/Feature crystals that guarantee drops within xx # of pulls. Because Kabam has described how they work.
Those crystals are still RANDOM, *Except when you would reach the “xx” amount of pulls without having gotten that featured drop hitting yet.
(Using 15 pulls as an example) if they say that guaranteed to get champ within 15 pulls, and after your 14th pull of still not getting them, then that 15th pull “bypasses” the random generator and just rewards you that guarantee drop. Because you had been unlucky in the prior 14 openings, and it is guaranteed within 15.
*note, if you happened to pull them at say opening #7 (via RANDOM drop, and getting lucky), then the cycle of “within 15 openings” resets itself.
This “guarantee” point after being unlucky after xx openings does NOT mean that all the prior openings along the way to that guarantee point were not RANDOM, they were.
Example above being for a specific champ of specific Star. If the crystals were just guarantee for certain Star (ie, any 7*, versus 6* or 5*), then the odds table for the guaranteed # opening would filter out the 5* and 6* options, and so guarantee a 7* at that pull (but still roll for whatever “champ” are available in that case of a specific crystal).
Probably off topic; but I can't imagine a whale or a heavy spender complaining about the RNG on this envelopes....
I could understand if the complaint was "I spent X amount on these and got Y.". It's all RNG either way, but the argument would line up.
What I can't get is "I spend elsewhere in the game. I shpuld get more from this.".
Some people should not have access to a credit card EVER, that's all I can say.
Yes, I guess you’re right. I’ve spent way too much on the game anyways. I’ll just be a free to play player like most people and keep my money to myself. If there’s no monetary investment, then there will be no disappointment with any unlikeable outcome of crystal results and just be thankful and satisfied with what I’m able to collect for free as most people are. Maybe having access to a credit and spending my money on a game isn’t something I should be doing as BRINGPOPCORN suggested. Maybe no one should spend money on this game and let the game support itself. I’m sure my money won’t be missed.
Very enlightening opinions. I was under the impression that Kabam welcomed spenders to help support the platform, but I guess I was wrong and my complaint invalid. I won’t spend another dime on this game.
