The CCP Benefits and Privileges should be review

So the wonderful thing about MCoC is the diversity within the community, those that play the game, chat on the forum and creating content about the game. It is very colourful and rich.

There multitude of players creating MCoC contents on Youtube, Twich, Art, Infograph, etc. Bringing their own unique perpective of the game for their fellow Summoners. You always find someone with similar vibes to watch.

Some maybe in the Kabam CCP while other are not, but they all bring something important to the game and the community.

Now for a long time, we all accept that those that have been selected into the Kabam CCP get extra benefits and privileges and that is completely understandable.

Those privilege including:-
*Testing Map
*Access to New champions (and material to rank them up)
*Special Meet up event
(Earlier information drop
*I assume direct communication with Kabam team

These enable Kabam CCp to create contents that other can't, like champions testing, Monthly Update, Infograph, which in turn more opportunities to get viewers and potential generated more income than those that are not in the CCP.

And to be honest, we all accepted this arrangement.

On top of all of this CCP now also earn directly from Kabam a percentage of Kabam sales from the Webstore.

However the 2 new recently addition benefits have to risk of breaking the diversity and colourful the MCoC community and its voices.

CCP Promotion Code and Exclusive Twitch drop.

With the previous Benefits and Privileges for the Kabam CCP it does not actively discourage viewers from watch other content creators that are not in the CCPs, however with these two news additions, it directly "herding" viewers into CCP stream only, which is also directly taking away viewer from non CCP stream.

With time this will reduce the number of "independent" MCoC content creators, and we are left only Kabam CCPs, reducing the voice and perspective on MCoC.

Really hope Kabam would review this, it is really not health for MCoC and its community.

TLDR:-
Kabam CCP have too much benefits, and creating an unfair competition against non CCP creators.

MCoC will lose a lot of non CCP creators which will be a detrimental to the vibrant and diverse community.

Also, most of the CCP members are not quality material to watch, or even to trust, and that says something.

We watch our favorite streamers because of their content, not because of drops.

I love watching Vega, KT1 and Bero Man.

I don't even know which CCP members are streaming on twitch.

I think its not a good idea to give that benefit to CCP members.

Its creazy that Vega an KT1 are not even in the CCP they are one of the biggest Youtuber. And they are Straming regulary.The irony is that Usafa, a mega-whale, joins the CCP with 8,000 subscribers and maybe posts a video once a month. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy watching Usafa.

I think its just a bit unfair . What are the condition to get in the CCP?

That was because drop was not exclusive before.

But now, 2 out of 4 weeks, CCP have exclusive drop on their stream only. This will naturally "herd" viewer from other non-CCP creator over to CCP one.

With snd the Exclusive Promo Code, mean Kabam is stealing viewers from non-CCP creators.

That is not healthy competition.

The problem is, it s not fair for some of our favorite streamers. We like the guys, and we want them to do well, and be rewarded for the content they provide.

Have to agree with this.

I don't watch Vega so no clue about that, but Bero and KT say stuff in their videos that you just cannot expect to get a corporation to sponsor.

And I don't mean criticism of Kabam decisions, I think that's fine, since many CCPs criticize all the time.

I'm talking about calling Kabam the c-word and stuff like that. Just stuff that would cross the line in any professional setting.

Creators in the CCP are not required to gear their content in any direction, and can operate their content how they see fit.

There are going to be multiple tracks of Twitch Drops, 50% of which are open to everybody.
The exclusive ones will be of a relatively short duration compared to Creators who stream for the full week.
I don't anticipate 4 hours of exclusivity to create any unfair competition.

We're going to continue to support our CCP members where we can.

I agree. I have my favorite and trusted content creator, thanks to whom I always know what is worth ranking up and investing in, because he doesn’t sugarcoat anything. However, because of that, he isn’t liked by Kabam. I don’t even bother checking out content from other creators because I usually don’t value their opinions (except from time to time, maybe a tier list or something).

Him not receiving monetary benefits from CCP codes was bad enough, but now he also won’t be able to create content at the same time as creators who are in the program. That is incredibly unfair — not only to him, but also to his viewers.

Even though he isn’t liked by Kabam, he is still respected and recognized within the community and deserves at least the same access to content at the same time as CCP members.

4 hours of beeing favored even every now and then is huge and DO create a unfair advantage. Im not going to use anyone elses ccp code (not that you care, that is just a statement). CCP project from monetary benefit grows to exclusion from creating content in time

While I do agreed with you that when a creator get accepted to the CCp their are able to create content and express their own view. However I'm sure you would agreed that there are some very well know creator out these where their CCP applications never been accepted by Kabam, and I not talking about extremely controversial one.
I do agreed and most of the community does accept that the CCP should have extra benefits and privileges compare to other but what they have access previously (and the earn from the webstore) should be more than enough advantage. But let face it, if a creator got access to testing map, new champions, unlimited rank up materials, and still can't get enough viewings be themselves, and need Kabam to literally give them stuffs to give out for free to get viewers, then their abilities as a creator is really come into question. This would be where the question of unfair completion come into play.

Just feel like these last 2 (Promo Code and Exclusive Twitch drop) crosses the lines that doesn't need to be cross and creating an unhealthy environment for the MCoC community.

Plus one of my favourite content creator stop uploading stuffs, so who am I to watch now?

To be honest, I don’t think this approach is beneficial for anyone.

Why would you want to push me to watch someone whose content I’m not interested in (any CCP creator from the current pool), and whose opinion I don’t respect or care about?

If you make it worthwhile through rewards, I’ll probably just open their stream in the background for the bare minimum time needed to claim those rewards — and I’ll hate doing it. On top of that, I’ll end up resenting them because this system disadvantages my favorite creator, who is more than big enough to be included and definitely shouldn’t be excluded just because you want to favor someone else.

I am ok with other things. But I would like the testing map so we can all have some practicing grounds and level the field. Other than that, the CCP members put in a lot of work to bring content and they deserve the extra support from Kabam so I am okay with it. People who are complaining about the extra advantage do not understand the work that is required to being a content creator with a large following.

On another note, Vega should be back in the CCP. Kabam made Vega quit when he complained about the game back last year and I think that does not fit under Mike's post "Creators in the CCP are not required to gear their content in any direction, and can operate their content how they see fit."

I don't have a problem with Kabam doing CCP-specific Twitch drops, but it would help immensely if they pinned a post with all of the CCP member's Twitch channels. The CCP members that I actually follow don't do Twitch streams (to my knowledge), and the bigger streamers that I know do Twitch streams (like Vega and KT1) tend to bounce in and out of the CCP.

What I'm trying to say is, it's kinda hard to know who streams what and where and if they're in the CCP to begin with. Especially if you (like me) aren't really into Twitch to begin with. I watch Kabam's monthly livestreams there and that's about it. I'm open to the idea of watching some CCP stuff there, but please give me some clear directions so that I know which channels to look out for.

Kabam did not force Vega to quit the CCP program, at least not as far as I am aware. By his own words, while he felt his contributions were not appreciated for a variety of reasons, he voluntarily left the program. If he was kicked out, or even forced out, I do not believe Vega would mince words when describing that situation.

Lots of players complain about the game in various specific and pointed ways. I've seen Seatin do it innumerable times. RichtheMan has done it, Lagacy has done it, and heck Vega himself did so many times before he decided to leave the program.

Of course there are limits. When Mike says content creators can make their content however they want, he means in the editorial sense. They can criticize, satirize, and editorialize the game however they want. They cannot, of course, do things absurd like cheat in the game, advise their viewers to quit the game entirely, threaten the lives of the developers - silly nonsense like that. But they are free to be as critical as they want to be.

One: I've seen people drink on stream before, and even encourage viewers to join in.

Two: It isn't hard to understand why people who stream playing video games might focus the majority of their attention on things related to that game, and not, say, hang gliding or day trading. It isn't because there's some weird double standard surrounding the relative lifestyle risks between hang gliding and in-app video game purchases.

As far as I am aware, there is no specific prohibition against the consumption or promotion of consumption of alcohol in the terms and conditions of the CCP. Also, until just now this was not a sentence I had foreseen ever having to write. I could probably use a drink. Anyone care to join me? It is Friday after all. Who knows what's going to pop up on the forums over the weekend. Might as well start now.

Now that I think about it, every content creator in the CCP I've ever watched, and almost every content creator in general, has cautioned people about spending in-game. Most advise players to be careful about spending, and only spend within their means, and to keep in mind many content creators are reinvesting channel revenue when they spend, so they are not as deep out of pocket as it might appear. So in fact, to be serious for a moment, there is significant awareness among content creators that their own spending on their channels can encourage others to spend potentially beyond their means, and try to warn their viewers accordingly.

For me making this post isn't focusing on discussion, slander or support any content creator, I don't do that about forum members and I don't do that about content creators.

People are free to support whoever they like, whoever vibes they get on with, and Kabam have every right to pick and choose who they want in their CCP.

What I'm focusing and would like to continue discussing is on the "fair" and balance environment space for all MCoC content creators.

I (and I assume likely many) accept that Kabam CCP should have benefits and privileges, however I feel that exclusive Promo code and Twitch drop are a step too far with an unhealthy direction.
