why are old champs being nerfed?

we already have lots of broken champions like serpent, okoye, jean grey..etc

why did u nerf X23 regen? why are you nerfing Magik's power control?

Doctor strange lost powersteal ability and regen (outside blocking)

New stellar forged starlord has zero utility and the old starlord hits harder LOL.

Is regen and power steal that broken in 2026? with all the god tier champions released and defenders?

i mean Madelyne Pryor got power steal, why take it out from Magik?

these old mechanics made the champions enjoyable, and it was a signature of their kit, taking that away is creating a new champion and dishonoring the legacy of the game.

now everytime we hear an old champion is getting " buffed", i have to expect they're gonna lose their key abilities that made them fun and unique in the first place, instead of building upon their kit.

If you did not understand that this rework was going to be a nerf or complete removal of her power steal/lock then you don't understand why she was broken in the first place

i know it was broken but i hoped she would retain some of it, maybe to at least steal 10-33% of power, and no powerlock, at least something, a bone to grasp on

her new animations do look stunning, and the damage looks promising, but i wish she had at least a small powersteal, at least 10% or smth

She did keep a very tiny part of it tho, just not the whole "lock their power bar permanently". Her specials don't generate power for the opponent, and instead of stealing she just gains a bar right after throwing her sp1. Nothing crazy but it's something, they increased her damage on attack and by the looks of it they slightly nerfed her on defense, all this so she can be a 7* so at the end of the day it's a fair trade.

Its about net increases, not individual changes. Overall magik is now going to be a 7 star with access to stat focus, possible future ascension, and has a lot of new pieces of kit that are going to give her actual use as opposed to being so stupid broken that they just have to ignore her existence

I want OG Deadpool to get a buff, but I dread them "buffing" him by nerfing his regen and adding something dumb instead of just making his bleeds better and calling it a full and satisfying day.

Gimped forum posting edit: Disagree with the Stellar-Lord take. A one-way rampup that doesn't even need specials.

He's better than the OG. People play him weirdly with chasing maximizing his debuff.
