Magik is not buffed its actually nerfed

Is it just me, or anyone else feeling that Magik has fallen off? I’m pretty disappointed with her performance lately. Her buff felt unnecessary ------if they had just released her as a 7-star instead, I’d have ranked her to R5 immediately

I dont think they will keep Quake's abilities too, they will nerf her with a tittle " Quake buff " and release as a 7*

I'll rank her up not because her new so called buff... I'll rank up because she was my favourite back in the days

They never said it was a buff. Kabam is well aware that the previous Magik was better. That is why she was changed, she was too broken to be released as a 7* with that level of power control.

They could have lower her attack values...Magik existed before, more than 6-7 yrs if i'm not wrong....and at that time Kabam did nothing with magik....how she is broken when they have BS defenders like serpent , Dphoenix...arnt they brokn as a defender too? ...leave....we cant do anything now else going with the flow

Her strength wasnt the issue it was her absurd power control. She was dominating in her time absurdly well and it was either nerf her power control and give her a new kit, add anti power control nodes to all content or leave her as a 5 star

Ronan is only good in High buff matches though. Magiks power control was the strongest in the game and shut down most content in her time

And they fixed every over powered champ in the game by creating very specific nodes; changing mechanics in the game.

Anti indestructible or immortality nodes for champs like Hercules and Titania.

They changed the 150-200% power boosts.

They added true strike.

But Magik? Nah F her...

I see it in a pretty simple way. Nobody was using Magik because she was 5* locked. Kabam did not want to bring her to a 7* level and keep her utility. So Kabam makes a completely new champ kit and puts it into magik so she can be brought to a 7* level and used again.

People want to be mad for the sake of being mad. This change brought new life into a champion that you didn't use. There are plenty of other things to be mad about in this game. But making a champ more fun is not one of them.

Magik rework is intended to trigger a cocktail of nostalgia and FOMO spending while giving you a champ that’s hard to play and seems like a fourth division version of Madelyne Pryor.

I mean they could have introduce a synergy with Madelyne to keep Magik's power control. But I get it to someway.

In the Krakoa era if read. Magik bestowed her reign of Limbo to Madelyne making her the Goblin Queen again.

So in the Battlerealm, Magik gave maybe her control of Limbo to Madelyne met giving up power control (in a twist justifiable way). But hey I don't work in the game team.

Synergy with Madelyne for Magik would better to bring back POWER control but it won't work for solo quest or BG unfortunately but hey u still have power control when u get Madelyne and sync with Magik in my opinion😅.

I see no problem with this rework of Magik she actually feels more accurate to comic Magik plus she does still have some power control where opponents don't gain power while she is using her specials

Madelyns power steal is once every 60 seconds and grants half of the power back after a little while, its not the same as magiks old loop completely stopping power gain.

Would 10% power steal for the sake of it actually do anything? Or would you complain that it should be 20% at least. Then it would 40% etc etc
