Swipe Forwards = Dash Backwards

iPad Pro, using my right thumb for movement, too many times a forward swipe results in my champ dashing backwards. It always happens at the beginning of the combo, the initial dash. I have tried very hard to refine my technique to avoid this, but can see nothing I’m doing wrong when it happens.
