thoughts on bero leaving the game?

Bero posted this on his yt posts yesterday, saying he is leaving the game after the season ends. Personally I really like Bero despite all the drama, you simply cant say its just luck when its season after season hes at the top, that takes a TON of time and dedication. He says he feels a sense of discrimination regarding his CCP applications, and the new CCP exclusive drops exemplify that even more, which I can see, hes been a streamer for a long time, puts out consistent content, and is the number one player in the mode that kept MCOC alive. I'll be sad to see him go since I always tuned into his streams and found them really entertaining.

Bero sounds entitled to the CCP. Why? Just because he… makes content? Just like every other MCOC YouTuber? Doesn’t make sense.

The CCP is an application process, which takes time. Bero even admitted he RECENTLY applied for the CCP. Sometimes you won’t get accepted the first time you apply. Bero had YEARS to apply into the CCP, but now he wants to get in ASAP because of the CCP exclusive twitch drops. And Bero uses the victim mentality excuse of “discrimination” or “feeling left out” but he doesn’t know how process works.

You won’t find people going into a job interview saying “Yeah, I’m only interested in this job because of the salary”. They won’t make it to the next round of interviews as a result. If Bero was truly committed to the long term, he would wait for the results of the CCP application and go from there. But to quit MCOC because you’re not getting expedited shipping on your CCP application? No sympathy here.

Viewer retention on drops is like 2%. Even if Bero Man had drops and reached 2k peak viewers, only 40-80 people will be real "fans". He is basically abandoning his already existing fan base just because he wanted to chase numbers.

Buddy needs to remember he is playing a niche mobile game, if he wanted to make it big he should have chosen one of the popular games.

Either way, Bero Man doesn't have the personality to attract new viewers. Nobody is going to watch a guy who uses a voice changer and talks in a monotone way.

This is not about any individual content creator, whether they are in the Kabam CCP or not.

It is about Kabam have gone a step to far with the exclusive Promo and Twitch drop. I'm all in favor of Kabam supporting Kabam CCPs but by providing these creators materials to make content on, not freebies to "buy" viewers. It is wrong and unbalanced.

I was never a Bero Man viewer, but while I watch a lot of CCP content, I have not found a CCP livestream that I like (apart from Brian Grant), this is not to discredit any CCP members, just that for livestream you need a certain vibe that work for you.

However now with exclusive Twitch drop and promo code, Kabam is essentially stealing viewers from none CCP creators with rewards. It is highly unethical and hope Kabam will reconsider.

Bero seems like a nice down-to-earth guy and he does try to give pointers to other players who want to get better at BGs.

I personally don't understand why someone would play so much BGs (probably 6+ hours a day sometimes for many days straight) but even he has admitted that he has an addictive personality.

As far as the CCP, I think he has said he didn't have a problem with being left out and not having a creator code or CCP status, but the exclusive twitch drops he feels are designed to steal twitch viewers away from him and other non-CCP streamers and send them to CCP streamers.

I understand both sides of the argument. It is technically unfair to non-CCP streamers but also you can understand why a company would both want to look out for its CCP members and also pick and choose who they "trust" to let into the CCP.

TL:DR Cheesemaster is a loser whose every post is frothing with butthurteadness over this game.

I'd say the guy overreacts here a bit. Like how many people really watch twitch drop streams? I'd expect people to mostly leave some random stream in a muted tab for that and watch whatever they want to or just doing something else.

CCP codes are a bigger issue imo. I actually dislike ccp overall, it's kabam making uneven conditions for otherwise competitive environment, and without any clear acceptance criteria I can't see it as something not shady

a lot of people watch ccp streams, its why everyone has as many views as they get rn, they wouldnt get nearly as many without that, i agree on ccp codes though

I like his gameplay. I consider him one of the most skilled content creators out there, especially in regards to BG. You don't get consistently number one season after season with just time and money.

His content on the other end? We all know he is famous for BG steams, he does some AW highlights and recently some Colosium best fights. But I don't see the usual contents CCP member do, like character reviews, guides, top 10s, speedruns, specific match up videos...

The point is, does he really need a CCP test account to produce his content, or is he just interested in the viewership from the twitch drops? Not up to me to decide, but Kabam might make an all around evaluation of his content and his web character and just leave things as they are

You're absolutely out of your mind here if think very few people watch livestreams for drops, last night at around 1am PT there was one person with over 3k viewers, one person alone. Right now, BeroMan himself is at 1.4k

And this is with the mediocre drops they currently have on. When they activate the drops for the Thor rework those drops are going to skyrocket even higher and it'd be foolish to think very few people will be watching. There is a free 7* reworked Thor Ragnarok, viewer counts are going to be higher than ever for mcoc.

What dudes like bero and kt don't understand is that kabam is more than happy to see them leave the game.

These foul-mouthed non-PC streamers with 50k subs are bad for the game.

Plenty of corporate-friendly streamers out there in the CCP like MSD and Legacy who can criticize the game when needed but don't drop slurs left and right.

I’m honestly not too familiar with Bero but I do occasionally watch his BGs stream for tips. However, if he actually was a merc like someone said here then I highly doubt he will ever be accepted into the CCP purely because of that. He also very rarely posts basically any other type of content that isn’t BGs which doesn’t help his case a whole lot.
I can however understand the point he’s trying to make and it is messed up. Those Twitch drops are going to nearly kill a lot of smaller streamers because people are going to want that reworked Thor. He’s a very popular character, naturally people are going to go straight to CCP streams no matter what. Just as an example, I normally don’t watch Lagacy because he’s a big crybaby I would very much rather watch Beroman for 3 hours straight even if I got bored at one point. For the Twitch drops however, I absolutely would go over to Lagacy’s channel instead and just leave it open on my laptop while I do something else 😂

I think kabam should keep the perks for CCP limited to the games itself. Early access to champs and test maps already give them enough edge to make content. This makes it harder for anyone who wants to start making content for MCOC to attract viewers.

Views they get during the drops are very inflated. 90% of those "viewers" have the stream at 160p and mutted. And this only happens on a single day of the week because majority gets their drops on the 1st day and they are out.

Kabam is basically working as a view bot tool at this point... 🤣

Many people claim a lot of the merc thing been a detriment to not be able to join the CCP when we had the history of Pepe that he was a merc , that he even was expecting to not be able to participate in the first battlerealm brawl because of his past.

He was able to join CCP and he is the most successful streamer (9k views when drops appears) of the game thanks to the Spanish community. The others that had the same history of been merc they also should be able to join CCP.

Kabam really need to remove the twitch drop exclusive from CCP, is really hurting a lot of smaller creators.

I have no sympathy for Beroman and KT1 being excluded from CCP.

Mercs should never be allowed to be part of CCP.

These YouTubers think that posting like this (as mentioned in the image of OP) will get them sympathies but they are forgetting that INTERNET NEVER FORGETS ANYTHING.

I am not going to share the links of their old videos and chats where they themselves are admitting to clear content for $.

Kudos to Kabam for not allowing the mercs (KT1/Beroman) into CCP.

One of the most ridiculous posts I've ever seen. Most of the people you support were also mercs (because at the time, it was a normal phenomenon), you just haven't been around long enough to know. You also aren't smart enough to recognize that the two people you listed are the most ardent supporters of clean and fair play today.

Tthere are several Kabam employees who paid the very people you hate to play for them. Again, you definitely haven't been around long enough to know the history of this game (and I was one of the first legends in the game).

If your statement were law, most of the people in the CCP wouldn't be there, but you don't care do you. People like you only apply rules selectively and only seek to stay in the good graces of the rest of the clueless masses.

And just like you, Kabam is never able to grasp the unintended consequences of their actions.
