What is going on with you Kabam?
I can't understand what is going on at with you Kabam. You constantly roll things out in the worst possible way; and make the worst, most user hostile, decisions. You have taken a lot of flak recently (rightfully so) for all the bad decisions you have made.
You had the perfect opportunity to please the player base with this Essentia rollout. It would have been so easy. All you needed to do was announce well in advance that the other stores would be closing but that people could convert all their old currencies to the new currencies immediately, and that all items available in the old stores would be available in the new store at a cost that would be equal or cheaper than in the old stores. Then you just needed to stick to that promise. It would not have been difficult - just a couple of hours with a spreadsheet to get down everything in the old stores along with their price and then a formula to convert it to the new currency at the offered exchange rates.
But no, you had to do things the hard way by rolling out a complete disaster that everyone hated and then having to put out multiple forum posts apologising for the decisions made, and having to put out multiple updates to fix things. All whilst harvesting a huge amount of bad will - of which you already have an abundance.
It's so consistent it almost feels deliberate now.
Can you not plan something like this properly, run your plans past the CCP for feedback, and then incorporate the feedback in the final rollout so you can put out something that players actually like and will give you credit for?
