The issue with Ascension

So these were the free crystals so I'm not raging here or anything but the idea behind this for people to spend, obviously. If I was a whale and dropped 24,000 units to pull and already ascended Mr F I would actually lose my head.

Now this pull is worthless, like genuinely worthless. I have to hope to pull him again and if I do the ONLY reason he will get ascended is prestige, which is boring. I chase prestige, I rank the top 30 but realistically most of them are descent champs, some even top end Meta and the odd Silver Surfer, Dani who will never be used in any content is fine its what you have to do for prestige.

But I've already ranked 4 Ascended champs to R4, all 4 were meh and solely for prestige, I look at the rest and 80% of them are meh champions, obviously by choice from Kabam but nobody wants to rank them, they'll be done for prestige and I personally top appreciate having most of my highest ranked champions being unusable.

This needs to be fixed Kabam, it was a bad idea to micromanage our rank ups like this and it's a bad system. Andy left because you have taken the choice away from us and he wanted to ascend one of the f*cking champions he just knows the chances are so so low 😂

I personally think you've really messed up here and don't know if you are going to bother changing it or not, but for sale of players actually enjoying the game, please do

i was kinda mad i pulled sersi a 2nd time, but now at least if i pull her again she will be ascended lv2, really i want the emma frost ascension, hopefully kabam adds some ascension selectors in the future so we can pick who we want to ascend as a result of doing challenging content, other than that its fine, we get to experiment with less used champs and learn more about the game.

ngl, hes one of my most wanted ascension pulls. I have him r4 sig 200 and he is extremely undervalued. I admit he isnt for everyone, but reed is an insanely powerful champion once you get him going. If you need power control and they can be stunned, the fight is over and super safe. Give him a shot, he might surprise you.

Just think about this. If they released 8*s instead of Ascension, we would have had the same limited pool and still have no liberty to choose our first 8*. It’s always gacha and it’s what keeps us playing this game. We’re always chasing for something.

Well, just to elaborate, it's inevitable. The whole point is to have a random outcome, and that means we will pull what we don't want from time to time. Otherwise there's no sense in having a randomizer because all outcomes are favorable.

I figured I would expand, as it sounded like I was implying they expressly want us to pull what we don't want. It's just a part of RNG. Some pulls are favorites and some aren't.

I don't think any of you actually understand what I said there?

Rng has always been a thing but just because I pulled a poor champ as a 7* when it first released didn't instantly force me to rank them up to stay competitive, now it does.

For someone who is chasing prestige, biting the bullet for 3/4 of your 30 odd rank ups is acceptable, doing it for 80% of them is not.

The whole issue with Ascension is the fact it is a complete management, never before have Kabam decided our rank ups but now they are and to me that's a bad direction for the game to going in.

I have also taken my favourite champs to the highest rank and now I have 4 champions R4 ascended and none of them are someone I even enjoy using or will ever use, that's not how a game is supposed to be played

Brother 2 ranks of ascension is less than one normal rank up, you can still do everything with the 7 stars you already have
