Question about Empowered Grace Crystal

Hi
If I pull one of the Ascendable champs from that Crystal, shouldn’t it ascend him to lvl1 automatically?
I pulled ManThing (after already had him duped lvl 20), and he’s still not ascended.

No. It is a 0.45% chance to pull an ascended champ. It's a 9% chance to pull a regular 7*. You just pulled a regular ManThing

An ascendable champ has two types of drops. The regular drop, which is probably what you got, and the ascension cluster drop which will ascend a champ to A1 the first time and give ascension materials on additional pulls. You can also get ascension materials from a champ's featured valiant crystal. From the empowered crystal, it is a .45% chance, or 1 in 220 crystal chance of getting a version of the ascendable champ that comes with the ascension materials, or a guaranteed drop at 120 crystals.
