Until you have finished your full mastery setup and you’re happy with it, it’s much better to focus on those first unless you’re really new and need a few champs to get started. But if that’s the case you need to aim for dexterity first, followed closely by parry.

You forgot another option. To gift Addyos some Greater Gifting Crystals. I eagerly await some in the mail. I'm not greedy; 2 or 3 will be nice lol.

All kidding aside, yeah focus on upgrading your masteries first. Prioritize unlocking Parry, Dexterity, Precision and Cruelty and work on unlocking others. It's the boring option, but one that pays off in the long run. If some of your ally mates are investing in masteries too, you can swap cores and accumulate points in the gifting events and get some decent rewards like 4* shards.
