An alliance mate messaged me this, "When all you need is 4 more wins in Battlegrounds for Goblin Shards, but only been on now a 6 straight losses you start wondering will you be able to get those final 4 in 4d 4 hours 27 minutes and counting.

At least I'm working on the objective of completing unranked matches at the same time for Goblin Shards."

Sometimes it goes well and times like this, you are at the mill grinding.

To make him feel better, the goblin shard objectives still have 2.5 weeks to go. Will probably be easier during season when matchmaking is all over the place.

Agreed, that what I reminded him. To encourage engagement they should have either had it be play five matches for the radiance or just win one match. I believe the radiance objective was designed to get players to engage in Battlegrounds, but with the match making currently that is tough for smaller accounts.

Well Kabam has already proven that 10k radiance isn't enough to get players to engage with BGs, so I do agree that playing five matches would make more sense than winning them. BGs engagement will continue to suffer without meaningful changes to the mode.

Isn’t it matched from account prestige and not deck strength?

you may encounter people giving away free wins in BG, if they have some spare energy and are feeling generous.

Since there's not any Ally or Solo BG event going on, not even a reason to play out the fights just to get the “loss points”.

It worked kindof during my farming 21 unranked matches. Everyone I matched were much much lower than my prestige, difference of 4k to 8k lower.

I was running 35 maxed 3*s. And 5 top dogs, cuz I did match someone doing the same and I had to draft the big boys to end the rounds faster.

My alliance mate let me know he has finished his 7 wins for unranked battlegrounds which got him the Goblin shards and also the radiance. From the Goblin Shards he pulled a 2* Madelyne Pryor and he is sitting at over 1,600 for the Goblin Army Event.

The irony is I've done both the ranked and unranked battleground matches, the showcase, and Week 1 and 2 of Gwenpool side event and I'm sitting at 1,810 and he hasn't done the showcase or the ranked battleground objectives.

Interesting how RNG works.
