Blue Marvel

By now everyone knows how MID/USELESS Blue Marvel is. This is the same dude who ONE SHOT BEYONDER, took on ARES, CAPTAIN MARVEL and SENTRY all AT ONCE to a STAND STILL, gave GALACTUS run for his money and many more.

Then why is this dude USELESS in 90% of the content.
1. He is not suitable for BGS, AQ or AW as he is a ramp up champion.
2. He is heavily relied on his debuffs which are not passive so they can be cleansed, purified or due to AAR be not applicable at all.
3. A fully ramped up Blue Marvel awakened sig 80, R2 without synergies and boosts still takes 1 whole minute to defeat a ROL boss.
4. As a defender he is not useable at all.

Now, I understand not every character can be game breaking but this is a Marvel game. It's already enough that MCU is screwing over characters in live action, atleast the game should do some justice to characters who should actually be game breaking.

To be fair The Beyonder was toying with him during the beyond defenders comics, but i agree this man needs to be more useful or better yet his ramp up needs to be shorter and stay longer or permanent like Aegon and Sentry's

Prestige doesn't cut it. My primary focus when playing this game, is to experience that character model and abilities which I can only visualize myself when reading comics.

This is not the Blue Marvel I imagined when I read those comics. Same goes for Sentry, Thor and others as well.

Kabam always screws famous characters like Bmarvel Dracula while they make unpopular characters overpowered, it's good from business perspective but gameplay wise it isn't

Yeah he's been very disappointing. Kabam hyped him up only to let us down. His long and inconsistent ramp up is the main complaint. Why would Kabam do this? Who wants to keep ramping a champ over and over again?

And his damage output isn't even worth the long ramp.

To add to the disappointment, he is "the most powerful man in america" and was a Black History Month champ, but Kabam did him 0 justice.

Cyclops, and other champs do insane damage when ramped. But "the most powerful man in america"?....…

Idk man. It's like somebody really didn't think this through. I believe he should have had more damage, and immunities to align a little bit more with his comic book abilities. Something like immunity to sleep and fatigue since he doesn't get tired. These would have given him SOMETHING unique from other champs.

But oh well....

I took mine to r3, but won't go any further. I hate that I wasted r3 mats.

I hate that they did this to Blue Marvel and chose BHM to release him. I r2 mine and took him for my run in this week's AQ. Man, I have never been disappointed in a game character before. I obviously had too much faith in this character and was invested since they mentioned he'd be coming. Oh well.

Took Blue Marvel to r4 sig 200 a few days ago, and not for prestige. I’ve used him in the abyss carina challenge, rampant aq, and some other questing since. I have been pretty impressed with his damage and safety, but also his playstyle is very fun.

I think a lot of the hate BM is getting isn’t really his fault or due to him being a bad champion. He was released around the same time as Dr Strange, JJJ, and Star Lord (SF). These are all champions that thrive in long form content, so getting many in a short period makes them all feel less valuable.

Also, we haven’t had a new Necropolis come out recently, and there is not one upcoming either, as far as we know. If there was a new Necropolis or more common long form content, I think Blue Marvel would be thriving right now. I think there’s a decent chance he’s one of the top options for the Epoch Gauntlet when that releases.

Yes upon release he seems underwhelming or unimportant, but so did many of our favorite champs. When Torch came out, few realized his potential until Lagacy highlighted it. To mention a related example, most thought Sentry was terrible after his buff, but now everyone is using him for this challenge.

I’m just saying we should see what content comes out in the near future and also give Blue Marvel time in the contest to see what he can do. He does cover some similar ground to Sentry, but he’s not an identical champ, and does unique things. It is good to have variety in new champs. Just because he isn’t amazing for competitive modes, that doesn’t mean he’s terrible or even close to it. We just don’t have a ton of new content for him to really shine at the moment.

Plus he is I think DLL’s first attempt at making an everest champiom. Sure Kate and Serpent are everest champions as well but they also thrive in other areas like defense and BGs

Lmfao I got disagree spammed the first couple of weeks when I dogged on him and there was even a donut talking about BGs brainrot and this and that, glad to see most people are done huffing copium and admitting he's nothing but useless garbage now. Anyways, 100% agree with op, Blue Marvel is the worst champ of 2026 and even worse than anything released in 2025. He even beat the goat Joaquin who, while having a garbage ramp, once fully ramped had decent damage.

He did a pretty good job. At max ramp my rank 3 does over 40k mediums (18k + 28k bursts) in addition to 200-300k sp2s. Ramp up is a little slow because he is forced to throw three sp3s every single match. Even then, time does not matter in long form content. Since he is part of the ascension pool, he will only get stronger over time.
