Is anyone else getting a bugged war..we are at a disadvantage from the start :(

Hi everyone.

Last war we noticed an empty node on our defence. We were bafffled because the officers rearranged our war defence just the day before, and no one added or took anything away and all nodes were full.

In that war, what was missing was scream. So we had 149 placed.

The owner apologised but was sure he didn’t do it and the officers agreed because they had checked the war map and it was full, with no gaps, but we said it may be a bug, so don’t worry.

So, I’ve just checked the map again…and again, we’ve got a missing node.

Now..it’s mine…which is impossible. We’ve not changed anything around between maps, we’ve got the “use one for all” map setting on.

And we’ve just checked the preparation map and my team is in there…but…the weird thing is…someone else’s isn’t…

If it was to do with individual maps, loads of the nodes would be empty, as we don’t use the individual maps, we only ever use the “one for all” map.

I’ve attached pictures..

This is the second war this has happened.we essentially lose a defender and also we lose 240 diversity points, evquivalent to three kos.

So essentially we lose 6 kos worth of competitiveness

Can someone please look into this…second war in a row it’s happened…

As you can see from the photo the challenger preparation map is showing nico is missing on node 22. And sersi is present on node 39.

But in the active war map today, it now shows nico is now on node 39, and sersi is missing on node 22.

And we ensured that last war the person who appeared to have the character scream not on a node, went onto the map, took his heroes off and put them all back in. And it was checked by officers that they were all in. There’s no way he would have not put 5 in, after he “made a mistake” before.

Look at the photos. LmB Nico isn't placed.

NNode 22 is empty, nico isn't placed. Coincidence? No. Dude messed up and didn't place nico, and apparently your leadership is blind also.

as explained.

In the war setup (the one where you arrange defenders) Nico is shown as not placed at node 22. And sersi is placed on node 39.

In the actual war today it’s showing node 22 is empty and sersi isn’t placed. And instead Nico is on node 39.

they can’t both be correct. Without a bug.

If Nico is absent in the war currently, on node 22, then she should be absent in the set up, on node 22.

instead it shows Nico present on node 39

you can’t have a setup where Nico is missing on node 22.

and then when matchmaking is finished, node 22 is still empty and a completely different defender on a different account is absent (sersi in this case) and instead the previously absent defender has reapppared on node 39 in this case.

the photos are from the same time frame .. today.

So to clarify..

set up….node 22 empty. Sersi on 39 …..Nico missing defender

Actual war …. Node 22 empty..Nico on 39 …sersi missing defender.

no one moved the defence. And my missing defender is my sersi. And it was placed last war, and hasn’t been changed.

and as mentioned, this is the second time the bug has occurred.

The previous war, scream was missing, so the person took all their heroes out and replaced them. All 5. And made sure they were all in. They were.

No one else changed anything. And then this war, my defender hasn’t been placed.

I haven’t touched my defenders in ages. So there’s no way it can be removed apart from a bug.

so pre matchmaking, all nodes were full.

post matchmaking, one node has suddenly become empty.

But a different defender is absent in actual war, compared to setup.

which shouldn’t happen.

if Nico is on node 22 and absent in setup, she should also be absent on node 22 in war.

but she isn’t. She has swapped with sersi.

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure if a player enters defense placement with a team of champions, even if they don't place the champions, they'll still end up on the map in random places in the actual war.

So it would make sense why Nico wasn't placed in the Place Heroes part but still showed up on a node in the war itself. But that wouldn't explain why Sersi wouldn't show up.

as mentioned, we use the “one for all” map, so this shouldn’t happen. The map should be identical whatever map we enter (challenger, expert etc).

but even if it wasn’t, we’ve had full maps all season.

Then suddenly. One node is missing, but a different defender is missing between setup and war.

Which can only be a bug. If we had made a mistake, then the mistake would show in actual war.

so if there was human error and we failed to place Nico on 22, then Nico should still be absent on node 22. There’d be continuity.

but there isn’t.

Node 22 shows Nico misssing in setup. Then in war, node 22 shows sersi missing. Assuming no one has touched the defence map, human error cannot generate that mistake. Only a bug can.

and even if an officer somehow removed Nico alone from the map by accident, they can’t replace Nico without the other user (lmb) actively replacing it.

and they certainly can’t do the following themselves..it’d take a series of highly unlikely events that everyone magically forgot to recreate this..

But, let’s see if we can get human actions/errors to recreate these series of mistake…

Action ONE -| the original mistake that shows up in war.

Prewar :

user supersam568 fails to place sersi (possible) or sersi is removed by officer on node 22 (for no reason at all) in setup - result is node 22 is empty in setup. Sersi is absent. Ok. Let’s say this is plausible. (It’s not though, because my defence hasn’t been changed in weeks, but let’s say this happened). Nico is currently sat at node 39.

war starts:

node 22 is empty, sersi is absent. Nico at node 39.

Setup check:
officers then check setup to rectify the missing war node, and instead find node 22 still empty, but now Nico is absent…

so the only way this is possible is if one of TWO series of events then occur:

Option 1:

post war:

Action 2

User supersam568 replaces sersi on node 22 (I havent touched my defence and I’m the only who who can actively put sersi back)

action 3

Another Officer swaps sersi on node 22 and Nico on node 39, so now sersi is on node 39 and Nico is on node 22 (possible action)

action 4

Officer then removes Nico from node 22 (for no reason at all).

result is in setup, we see Nico absent on node 22, and sersi on node 39.

post war:

Lmb then decides to reset his team (for no reason at all) and then only places 4 heroes, leaving Nico absent from node 22 (for no reason at all).

result again is in setup, we see Nico absent on node 22, and sersi on node 39.

It take at least 2 people to make multiple errors. Given that this is the second time this error occurred.the chance of us repeating it, given we are highly aware of it and are looking out for it, is as near zero as you can get. The fact that we were hyper aware not to make that mistake again…just really eliminates the chance of this occurring “by accident” again..

(admittedly didn’t read all of that, but..)

If those 2 pics of the 10x5 defense rosters (looked at during Setup Defense screen) are showing Nico and Sersi and NOT having an assigned node # to them. Then when war starts they should both be assigned randomly to the 2 empty nodes.

1. If your actual war look at your defense map, shows them potentially swapped positions between 1 war and the next, that would be the reason for that issue.

2. If you are saying that even during the “Setup Defense” , that either or both of them are indeed showing on an actual node on the map itself, but yet show an empty (no) node # in the 10x5 list, then that is a Bug for some reason.

3. If you are seeing them on the map itself during the “Setup Defense”, but then they do NOT appear on the map during the actual war, then that is also a Bug for some reason.

Sounds like maybe #1 is happening (as expected, need to have those people go back and RESETUP their 5 champs (remove from nodes, then re-place them on map), just to make sure.

But if either #2 or #3, then there's something wacky going on. *which having those 2 people do a complete re-assign of their 5 champs each should then solve for next war.

war 1 (Thursday)

We discovered scream was absent on node 25, even tho we were sure she was placed.

Post war 1 (Friday )

Owner of scream reset whole team and placed 5 (incidentally he owns Nico also)

Officers confirmed full defence

war matchmaking…seemed ok

War 2 (Saturday)

Empty node 22 found with missing sersi. Nico on node 39.

During war 2 we check setup (Saturday)

Setup shows node 22 empty with missing Nico. Sersi on node 39.

Sersi is from user supersam568

Nico is from user lmb

Scream was from user lmb

of it was human errors, then setup and war should show the same missing defender. But it doesn’t.

a reset of defence didn’t solve it. As lmb reset his entire defence, and Nico was still affected.

When we checked setup when scream was missing, it did show up on setup as she was missing too.

we made damn sure we were full defence. We’d only make that mistake once.

Supersam568 (me) didn’t adjust defenders at all - been those 5 defenders for a while now, and always placed. So no reason for sersi to disappear.

ok so we’ve got a phantom empty node.

whenever we reset the team, something else glitches.

lmb took out his team, and reset again.

When I looked sersi was in, and Nico was out. But when he looked he saw an empty node on 25 again.

so I reset my team, and put it back in.

when I rest my team, node 45 suddenly emptied and now his bullseye apparently hasn’t been placed…

it’s like when we place it just knocks anyone one out…

Update:

It kept happening .

we reset it by someone taking their team out and putting it back in, and then a different hero from a different account then disappeared. I think at one point we were chatting , and some pone had a pic of their team, with all 5 numbered as placed…and then on the same screen, they had the war map, and the node was empty, even though it said a number for that node next to a hero.

they said they tried to even place the hero on that node..but the game wouldn’t let them., it just kept the node blank, kept the hero still with that exact node numbered on the hero 5 list of that player. And everyone else saw the node as blank and that person hero as not placed….

eventually we just kept swapping things in and out, until 2 of us saw the same map, full…

it’s in matchmaking now…so let’s see if we have 50…or if the dreaded node 39 is empty again..or 22, 25, 45 it swapped to as well…
